Upmarket hawker centre, we felt prices were really sharp as Australians. Had the best Indonesian chicken sate I have ever had in my life here, the lady behind me ordered 5 sets! The prawns laksa is rich and full of umami flavour.

I am a local and the laksa here is very overpriced, for just an average bowl of laksa. Came here twice, and they did not have the smaller prawns both time, u will be forced to buy the more expensive bowl instead. Quite scam-y. A bowl of laksa with small prawns is around ~$8 (two times overpriced), came at 7pm and 5pm but they dont have small prawns, so they told me to order the king prawns laksa bowl ($10.80), i was thinking "well $2 for 2 big prawns added is pretty alright", but really they just give 1 and a half small prawns. 🤔 very overpriced for what is only an average bowl of laksa. In conclusion, just google "singapore top laksa" and pick one from there thats actually local and reasonable and maybe even better than average.

Honestly, whoever says Singapore has no good food and expensive, you should come to Food Opera. Food here is above average and my favorite has to be the Bak Choh Mee (in my opinion is even better than the one Michelin star Bah Choh Mee) & The Indonesian Grilled Chicken rice. My other favorite is Laksa. Very rich and flavorful broth. My must visit every time I’m in Singapore!

The food opera is a haven for foodies. I was like a baby in a candy shop, I tried every food my stomach could hold. The food opera is found on the fourth floor of the ion Orchard. The food opera is very vibrant with impressive decor that makes great spots for Instagram. The stalls here have an extensive menu with diverse options. Delicious dishes, with creative flavour combinations. staff at the different restaurants and vendors are friendly and welcoming. Orders were taken promptly, and food comes in less than 10 minutes Prices are slightly higher than average. Portion size is generous servings. Overall Experience; The Food Opera offers an exceptional dining experience with its impressive ambience, creative dishes, and excellent service. While prices might be slightly higher, the quality and experience make it worthwhile. I'd highly recommend The Food Opera for sampling Asian cruisine or nights out with friends.

A bustling food court offering a wide variety of food and drinks. Despite the many available tables, it still took some time to find a seat due to the crowd. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but the fish ball noodles were quite good. Overall, an okay experience.

I decided to forgo my favourite fishball noodles today due to the long q and went for rojak, popiah & dessert. The service was not as friendly as before. The staff at the dessert stall was not helpful nor patient (and there is no Q behind me) when I enquirer about the dessert. Same with popiah stall, I asked to omit an item and the reply was curt. Perhaps all these is to simulate the old days where one has to tolerate bad service to taste good food ( it was just mediocre)? I am disappointed.

We didn’t get to go around and really choose where to eat as it was really crowded. We had to share a table with other people just so we can sit. Service was quick at the food shop, but there was clutter all over the dining space and the buss/tray station. Was really looking forward great Hainanese chicken and we over ordered by getting 2 platters instead of 1, but it the chicken was cold and bland - we barely got through one platter :(

Had Lixin Teochew Fishball Noodle (4/5) and Gindaco Takoyaki (3/5). There were many other food options here, food court are air conditioned while hawker centres are not so if you want somewhere comfortable, you know where to go. Order the signature noodles from Lixin Teochew Fishball Noodle, which had a queue. Came with 3 Fishballs, 4 Fishcakes, 2 Dumplings and a bowl of noodles with pollards. Fishballs were indeed springy but I did find it the aftertaste slightly fishy. Noodles were blanched nicely and tossed with chilli. The crispy pork lard added a nice texture with the chewy noodles. (Wish there were more pork lards 🤣) Flavour were on the saltier side so if you are not a fan, you might want to skip this. Ordered the Takoyaki with half a pint of beer for $12. Takoyaki had a soft, chewy and gooey interior with a small piece of octopus. However batter was on the saltier side and the exterior was not crispy but hard, likely overcooked or left there too long.

Horrible service and food from Food Opera Korean food stall. Just look at the ridiculous small amount of food they gave for the $9 Chicken and Pork set. Ridiculous! When I asked them why so little the cook is extremely rude and said yup that’s the amount we give and it doesn’t mean that you order more expensive double meat set we give you more meat! What horrid service and we will never patronize this stall again.
