Niku Kappo is one of our favourite restaurants in ION, food is yummy and prices are relatively affordable. My recommendations: - Classic Hotpot (Pork and Beef are good) - Potato Pizza (tbh all pizzas are good too) - Ramen (very surprisingly because they’re not known for ramen but the broth is amazing) - Deep fried squid (so good) During my last visit they didn’t serve me the welcome drink (not sure if they still have it) but I don’t really care for it. Weekday Lunch sets are good and affordable. Kris+ payment is available but getting nerfed come 1 July.

Had a great time at VO the other night. Service was impeccable, and here is the food that we had ordered for 2 adults and a kid: Kuay Pie Tee, Ngoh Hiang, Chap Chye - they are good, but I do recall having somewhat better versions of these elsewhere. Babi Pong Tay - this is probably the best dish from what we have ordered. The braised pork belly melts in your mouth, and dried mushrooms literally soak up the gravy. Best dish to be served with rice. Pork Satay Hainan - exclusively at the Jewel outlet. Pretty good, IMO. Pineapple Upside Down Cake - complimentary for my birthday. I'm not a fan of cakes, but the pineapple makes it very refreshing to eat. Overall, I find their portions rather huge, which you can consider as value for money. It's not the best Peranakan food that I had, but not shabby either.

It's a South East Asian restaurant inside the ION mall. Location is fine with accessibility and entertainment of the shopping mall. Food is fusion authentic with strong spicy tastes. Service is responsive and helpful on suggestions. Great desserts. Veggie options available. Good for special occasion, couples and small group. Do make a reservation for quick service otherwise expect either long wait or no service.

Wonderful meal. The services are awesome as well especially Jane and Eugene! Definitely will go back again !!

Wonderful delicious authentic Singaporean food. Very good service, although the sitting was only 1.5hrs and we were talking so much we didn't even get to dessert before being asked to leave, albeit politely. All the dishes tasted great and I highly recommend.

Made a reservation for dinner at 6 last night. While the food did not disappoint and was definitely acceptable, it doesn’t seem to justify the high price. Portion was decent at best and I have no regrets coming here for a first experience but just simply felt the food was nothing to really shout about. On the other hand, the lager was really good though which was surprising as there wasn’t really a lot of alcoholic options either (which is completely fair, was just surprised as the lager tasted really good). My only issue is really the price as there wasn’t really anything stand-out/unique about the food served, it’s just good but not great either. Not sure if I will come back again… perhaps for certain occassions..? Otherwise, it will stay as a good first experience and that’s that. Service on the other hand, was definitely really good and everything was ordered and served promptly, no issues with that aspect.

Been to this outlet for several times and always look forward to each visit with awesome food and friendly staffs. Recommend - Ngoh Hiang, Kueh Pie Tee, Satay, Beef Rendang and Pulut Hitam. Thank you for the awesome experience!

Food was not that great according to my grandma. Personally for me, it did not have a wow factor at all, and everything was pretty mid. Seating was not very comfortable nor conducive, and can get pretty noisy during peak dining hours. Staff were attentive enough, but the overall experience doesn’t feel like it embodies the Nyonya or Peranakan culture very much.

I have been at Violet Oon Ion for quite a few times but I always forget to post a review. I have had gatherings with my local friends there and also brought my overseas friends there to eat the delicious peranakan food there. The atmosphere is quiet and the decor is beautiful. Service is prompt and staff are friendly and helpful. They help us took beautiful photos of us dining there. My personal favourite is kueh pie tee, ngor hiang and chicken satay. Refer to captions in photos. The drinks were interesting too! Try them!

Jeanne’s service was amazing—thank you, Jeanne! The food was really tasty, and we left with full, happy tummies. Thanks so much for making our dinner so enjoyable. We had a great time!
