The wagyu beef Don is superb. The Mt Fuji hot pot well worth it with nice presentation. Just a lot of tau gay inside. The amount of beef and the beef slices are actually very good. But the soup is not really Japanese flavour. It’s just tasty. And too much tau gay taste in the end. I think if they offer sukiyaki version it will be perfect for me.

Located in Ion Orchard, away from the food halls and tucked away with other sit down options, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. It’s nice to have table service (if you) don’t want to wait with trays etc. The wagyu is cooked at the table with a theatrical element and the food was really delicious. Highly recommend!

First time to this restaurant, the Tokachi Butadon was very very disappointing despite being a recommended item on the menu🤦🏻‍♀️ the pork slices were over-grilled so the sides were dry and hard, and the sauce was also glazed till it turned quite sticky and dark? Sweetness was overbearing and I could hardly finish the don... leaving me feeling still hungry at the end of the meal... But at least the manager waived the service charge upon my feedback at the counter 🫠

Ordered the wagyu rice lunch bento set which comes with a mini salad and miso soup. Selected drinks are on a discount price of $2 with any order of the lunch set. Same goes for selected side dishes. Overall taste and quality of the lunch set is reasonably priced and yummy.

This restaurant, part of the Watami Group, isn't overly fancy, but it’s a solid choice when you’re strolling around Ion Orchard without any specific cravings. It’s a place that won't let you down. We've dined here multiple times and have tried most of the menu items. The soups and hotpots are a must-try—they used to be quite rich and flavorful, but now the recipes have been adjusted to be less salty and less oily. The beef sushi is decent. In the past, the raw beef was lightly marinated, keeping its fresh color and raw taste. However, the current version is more heavily marinated, resulting in a less fresh appearance. The skewers are excellent—well-seasoned and perfectly grilled. The chicken karaage is also a highlight, offering a unique and delicious flavor. Overall, it’s a restaurant we enjoy and definitely worth trying.

Dined at NIKU KAPPO by WATAMI at ION ORCHARD and indulged in the Unagi and Wagyu Yakiniku Don. This luxurious rice bowl exceeded expectations! Grilled unagi and wagyu beef melted in my mouth, complemented perfectly by the rich homemade sauce. Highly recommend for those seeking a premium yakiniku experience.

I ate here awhile back, forgot what i wanted to review already. But I think it’s around 4 stars because nothing particularly memorable. But not really a fan of beef sushi, because there’s some beefy after taste.

Nothing beats their mount fuji beef at $28.90, curry rice at $19.90. Opps what did I missed? Oh yes a totally free alcoholic spite welcome drink! Something nice to sooth your tired soul after work!

Food was good. We came here for Mt Fuji HotPot. The broth was light and tasty. Soy butter french fries is nice! Cold sesame noodles had some mala taste and was refreshing. Overall, recommended to eat here! Prices are not too expensive as well.

Food quality here definitely not as good as when they were first here. I was warned by the staff that my bowl of pork rice was hot and to be careful with it. So I was careful preparing for my first mouthful. COLD. Service was good cos staff were attentive. Atmosphere also very good cos it wasn’t crowded so was quiet. Maybe that should have been my warning that the standard has fallen.
