I was browsing in the store when Lucas approached me and recommended a concealer and eyebrow pencil that suited my face perfectly. I returned the next day to purchase a conditioner, vitamin C serum, and niacinamide serum. Lucas was incredibly helpful. He offered a complimentary skin type test and took the time to explain the products in detail. His knowledge and attentiveness made the experience smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciated his thoughtful recommendations. Thank you, Lucas!

My family shops at Sephora stores the world over, this is the only branch they experienced racism and discriminatory behaviour by an employee by the name of Olga. They were next in line to be served and this employee tells them to go to the back of the queue. Truly shocking to experience this from a brand like Sephora that prides itself on tolerance and inclusivity. I will be escalating this matter.

Made a purchase worth $160 in store during Black Friday Sale today and only realised the cashier did not apply my birthday 2x points benefit for the purchase when I checked my account later at home. Very disappointed cashier Shahirah did not remind about the benefit entitlement, assuming they should be able to view member’s entitlement upon scanning the membership

Honestly such a disappointment, I went there to collect my items that I purchased online. Employees are so rude and just told me to wait aside. I went to the Bugis outlet and they were so friendly and went the extra mile but this outlet had been down right rude. I will not come back to this outlet. To the Chinese lady and the Malay lady who served me, please learn some customer service etiquette or don’t work in this environment if you feel like you can’t talk.

Dropped by Royal Host for their new collab with HyLife Pork and really enjoyed it. The pork Hamburg steak was juicy and flavourful, especially with the creamy sauce. The wafu version had a nice savoury balance too. Loved that you can pair it with rice or bread and choose from soups like onion gratin, clam chowder or lobster bisque. Service was warm and attentive, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall a comforting and satisfying meal.

This is a Japanese Western restaurant located at Basement 3 inside Takashimaya Shopping Center. I often walked past there and thought the dessert looked great. I was meeting my sis one day and she asked if I would like to lunch there. I jumped at this opportunity since I did not think my friends would like to eat at a Japanese Western restaurant. FOOD : 3/5 (overal) Clam Chowder - 3/5 The clam chowder was not too bad, but for the price, it was a tad too small a bowl Shrimp & Mushroom Ajillo - 3/5 It definitely looked better than it tasted. It was not bad, but not great either. Call me crazy; ajillo was essentially sauteing the ingredients in olive oil with garlic, or something like that. i found it too oily for my liking. The shrimp tasted fresh and mushroom was good. Fish & Chip - 4/5 Fish was crispy and fresh. Fries were shoestring fries. Again with that price, I expected 50% more fish. AMBIANCE 5/5 It was brightly lit; it was how a cafe as such in Tokyo or Osaka would be. Minimal decor with light colored furniture. SERVICE 4/5 Service was good, no complaints. Was the staff extra attentive or friendly to the point it left me a wonderful impression? No, but they were good without a fault. Would I return here again? I might just come back and check out the dessert which did looked really interesting. Will update here again. Fish & Chip, Shrimp & mushroom Ajillo

2025.12.16 (Tuesday) OVERRATED FAMILY RESTAURANT I walked past this restaurant recently and was intrigued to find a Japanese western restaurant akin to Ma Maison here. Today, enroute to Kinokuniya I decide to pop over for lunch, 15 mins before noon. Atmosphere The place is brightly lighted (unlike Ma Maison) and it’s great for families and gatherings Service The service personnel are all decked in black and white attire, akin to a fine-dining restaurant… and it stops at that. To save labour costs, you scan a QR quote to order. The service personnel is not attentive and even when making eye contact, will ignore you. Terrible for a Japanese brand. FOOD Well, skip the weekday set lunch. It’s a scam. It’s not really a set … you pay extra for drinks and soup.. I decided to go for the ala carte where the cross-selling option of a soup and drink is offered at additional costs. Guess what came first ? The coffee. Not the soup. What happened to the common sense? My hamburg lunch is pretty meh. French fries and corn tasted like McDonalds. The hamburg is 马马虎虎。Clam chowder is small but above average. CONCLUSION: I am never coming back again. All these for close to $40 🤔 I know of an actual Japanese restaurant at Somerset offering half the price for a better quality Hamburg. With refillable green tea, refillable cabbage and refillable fish soup … way superior to the chowder.

I love Royal Host in Japan. That's was first time for me to visit there. Their foods were fantastic. I chose a grillef pork. Sauce was rich. Meat was tender and juicy, very nicely cooked. They serve kids plates as well. Your kids can enjoy. Negative points are long queue during dinner time and a bit expensive.

Always wanted to try this since they opened to fanfare in jewel. Then they opened in Takashimaya I think last year but I could never find the shop. Then finally I realised they’ve taken over the Genki sushi spot beside the guardian pharmacy. Finally had the chance to try this in their Takashimaya branch. Had the signature hamburg steak. It was good and flavorful but it looks nothing like the menu photos. Quite small size compared to the illustrations. In Japan they stick very close to what is photographed on the menu. I guess in sg they don’t need to because customers are not so discerning. Based on the quality and quantity, maybe the price is quite expensive. You have to top up for drink, rice, or bread, soup combo. Also tried the signature onion soup which apparently Marilyn Monroe loved when she visited Japan for her honeymoon. Very disappointing. Not very savory, too sweet. The worse thing is the cheese is centered on the bread, not enough cheese, not well toasted or broiled so it’s very soggy and not appetising. The portion is also tiny. For the pricing, a normal sized soup bowl is also possible. The Hamburg steak I think it’s pretty good. But the onion soup no. Would I be back? Maybe if there’s a promotion. Service wise nothing much to talk about. Outlet atmosphere and design is modern and new.
