Gave 2 stars because I got scolded for nothing from this stall ‘Little Hanoi’. She just scolded me to get lost and get out. She was clearly Vietnamese, huge, very plump and sick for money over a pair of chopsticks which I asked if she had any first before I bought any food from her. She just said because I asked for chopsticks first before buying any food and walked into the kitchen yelling at me. This happened at around 5.45pm after I bought my Warung rice set, when I was told they ran out of bamboo chopsticks. So I went around to see what food I could buy so I can ask for chopsticks. I went to little Hanoi as I think I could buy the spring rolls and get the chopsticks. But this woman who clearly had a poor attitude with extremely bad English, just told me off without understanding what I was trying to say. I went off to the next mixed rice store who is tended by a non local too. She just stopped me from taking a pair of chopsticks that was out on the table. She just rudely said: ‘no chopsticks’, must buy $3 of food first. The attitude was horrid. I took the chopsticks because she didn’t seem to understand what I asked and since it was out in the open; I thought I could just take one pair. All these cutlery are common ones. To be honest, I had another time at Jurong East food mall where they didn’t have chopsticks either; and they didn’t mind me taking cutlery. I went back to Warung stall and I told her I got scolded. She then offered to take one pair of chopsticks for me. That was ok. I hope your management could approach me for this together with seeing this barbaric service on your CCTV. This is in Orchard and they behave like they are in some back waters unfounded in a civilised world! Otherwise this dinner would have been tasty. I have bought their chicken noodles before at Little Hanoi and clearly she doesn’t recall me and has scolded me. So mercenary for money! Attached recipe to prove I was there. Eating was ok, Little Hanoi and the mixed rice stall beside it weren’t. I suspect the management is their kind too. No reply still. The usual scenario for service now.

Beautiful Penang food nestled at the back of Food Republic at Lido Shaw! Had the chilli pan mee which is made in house, great tasty chilli and came with a soup with tangy meat balls. According to the lady boss, she has 8 bustling stalls in Penang, definitely authentic!

I love this Foodcourt because of the variety of different stalls and ambience, and I frequently dine here. My review here is only meant for Ho Heng Korean Cuisine. I have ordered food from this stall a total of 3 times over the past 2 weeks as I am fond of Korean food. The first two times, the lady taking the order and collecting payment wasn't all too friendly. Yesterday's experience was the worst. She was totally rude and curt when talking the order and collecting payment. This lady is a poor representation of what good customer should be, and she needs to be sent for basic customer servicing skills as her demeanour is really bad. The food isn't too bad at all, but nothing to shout about.

I typically don’t enjoy eating in food courts, but Food Republic at Shaw has changed my perspective. I always find myself coming back here during my visits. The seating is usually available, and it’s not too crowded, making for a comfortable dining experience. I absolutely love the fish soup, Hong Kong noodles, and the Japanese food stall at the back. I used to enjoy the Thai food, especially the tom yum, but it has unfortunately closed down. Another favorite of mine is the cereal prawn/shrimp and salted egg chicken, which is always delicious. Overall, this food court has a great selection and a pleasant atmosphere that keeps me returning!

A total of 10 of us. I ordered a bottle of wine but restaurant can only provide 5 glasses. Fortunately, most of the friends liked the food. We ordered pizza, carbonara, salads, etc.

Really lovely ambiance with great food. We ordered Arrabiata, Shrimp pizza, seafood risotto, mushroom spaghetti, four cheese chips and Alfredo. Everything was delicious except for the Alfredo which was slightly dry.

Went for dinner with friends. Food was decent for the price, nothing to shout about. Atmosphere was nice and lively, live music was also a plus. Overall, service was normal with the dishes we ordered coming out rather quickly upon ordering. Nice place to chill on a Saturday evening.

“Loved this cosy little spot — the pizza was crisp and flavourful, and the pasta tasted freshly made. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel homely. Definitely coming back again soon!”
