We ordered AnFu fried kwey teow SGD 6.90 and Penang Lor Mee SGD 6.90 The Fried Kwey Teow is loaded with Lap Cheong (Chinese Sausage) and you can taste the wok hey without eating charcoal bits, I loved the proportions and texture of kwey teow and Chinese chives was nicely blend with crunchy fried pork lard! Lor mee fragrance was nice and standard. I would suggest them to replace glassy prawns with sea prawns, that could enhance the flavour of the two dishes

I had a bad experience in the mix rice stall (the 2nd stall at the entrance), the cashier attitude is super bad, i requested to use paynow to pay, but i couldn't find the QR code, she said I needed to click myself, do I know how use your system? Normally I use food republic app to pay but this stall do not take!! After that I ate a melted plastic in my mix vegetable, I can imagine the hygiene of this stall is very bad, even they cooked the plastic!! (they explained to me that this is garlic skin, obviously you can see that is melted plastic)

This is a colorful Food Republic food court located at the basement of Shaw house beside Isetan supermarket . The place is decorated with nice traditional art paintings on the walls, adding to its charm. T here’s a wide variety of food choices, from local and Malaysian cuisine to international options. The seating area is spacious, though do watch out for the steps around the dining space. Prices are slightly higher than average, but it’s worth a visit when shopping in the vicinity.

Poor service received. Order Chee Teng at the ice store. Suppose to be shaved ice but the aunty just throw ice cubes in it. When questioned about the shaved ice she replied rudely, “can’t you see I’m busy”. Disappointing… :/ 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Ordered a large Hot Milo and end up given paper cup and was informed by auntie that is hot. Regulars can better treatments than walk in customer ordering drink. Use same spoon to stir behind regular customer's coffee and then stir my milo. I dont think is a good service at all and I am disappointed about it.and my 3 fingers burnt carrying this hot milo served a thin and soft paper cup.

I recently visited Food Republic at Shaw Centre and decided to try the Penang Hokkien prawn noodle paired with a cup of white coffee. Unfortunately, the meal turned out to be a letdown. The prawn noodle was the biggest disappointment. A good Penang Hokkien mee usually greets you with a rich, aromatic broth layered with prawn sweetness and a hint of spice. What I received instead was a bowl of noodles in soup that tasted flat and bland, without the depth or seafood umami that makes this dish special. Even the garnishes couldn’t rescue it, leaving the experience underwhelming. The white coffee was another misstep. Rather than being freshly brewed with the characteristic smooth, roasted fragrance, it was clearly made from an instant coffee sachet. It lacked both body and aroma, feeling more like a quick fix than a proper café-style drink. Given Food Republic’s reputation as a curated food court showcasing iconic dishes, I expected better standards. Shaw Centre is in a prime Orchard Road location, and visitors deserve authentic flavors, not shortcuts. Hopefully, management takes note and raises the quality to match the setting.

This Food Republic has many stalls. I particularly like the Japanese Cuisine stall and the Ice Shop. I had a salmon and chicken katsu bento; the chicken katsu was very crispy. At $6.90, it was good value. I also had chendol from the Ice Shop, and it was well prepared. However, the soup and steamed pork patty at Steam Kitchen were far too salty for me. I could only finish the rice. See the menus in my photos.

Tried the Lim Teh Corner at this hawker center for breakfast, ordered their kaya butter toast set. The set come with 2 kaya butter toast, 2 half boiled egg and a cup of coffee or tea, i opt for kopi c. Firstly compliment to their fast service, get the food ready for me in 2 minutes 👍👍👍 The coffee is good...3.5 out of 5 stars 😁 The toast is very thin (i noticed Singapore way of serving toast is usually thin sliced). Good amount of kaya and butter within. As to provide fast service especially to cater for office working people that always on rush, the owner prepared the toast earlier and this have sacrified the crispiness of the toast a little. I like the half boiled egg the most. Perfectly half boiled and come with soya sauce and pepper powder in well individually packing. The soya sauce is of premium quality and went well with the eggs 5 out of 5 stars for this. 👍👍👍 Overall is a good breakfast.

Had the Penang Hokkien Mee and quite like it. Price is quite reasonable. Will try other dishes the next visit.
