The tea and the environment was great, but the service is bad.
They keep nagging me and my brothers to order the minimum orders, while the previous waitress just say we already fulfilled the minimum order. Very unpleasant experience for us 😅
I first met Mr.Avelino at the TWG Changi airport duty-free store, where he impressed me with his friendliness and patience in introducing various teas. To my surprise, I recently ran into him again at TWG in ION orchard, and after all these years, he still carries the same warm smile and thoughtful service. What truly stands out is his unwavering passion and dedication—his enthusiasm for his work has never faded, which is truly admirable and worthy of respect. He is incredibly knowledgeable about his menu and products, recommending a wonderful selection of dishes and an aromatic tea that made our dining experience truly memorable.
Kudos to Mr.Avelino for his outstanding service and dedication!
Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️
Great place for afternoon tea, value tea set. My all time favourite is scones with French Earl grey tea. Loved their home made clotted cream & tea jelly; best mate for scones and I can just eat the cream and jelly as is. 😅
Tried their financiers with chocolate chips and surprisingly good too - the buttery financiers and melting chocolate chips are well balanced, loved the texture that it’s crispy outside, soft inside. It’s rather creative shape of financiers!
We visited TWG Tea at ION Orchard for a Father’s Day celebration and had a lovely experience. The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, perfect for a special occasion.
I ordered the Wagyu Beef Lasagna, which was rich and flavorful, though the taste leaned a bit towards corned beef – unexpected, but still enjoyable. My wife had the Scallop and Langoustine Linguini, and she absolutely loved it – creamy, seafood-packed, and beautifully presented.
What made the visit even more delightful was the staff – they were not only friendly and attentive but also took time to engage with our son, playing with him and making us feel truly welcome as a family.
Definitely a memorable dining experience. Great tea, elegant setting, and wonderful service!
We came to have a short break from walking , its small and very tight place to sit . I put four stars because we told them my son wanted the spaghetti without vegetables but they brought the meal with vegetables and gave us a spoon and plate saying you remove the vegetables 😧 oh no .
Everything else was ok
We had brunch at TWG Tea (ION Orchard) on a Saturday at 11:30 AM and were pleasantly surprised that there was no queue. As always, the food was beautifully presented and delicious.
We ordered two Gourmet Brunch Sets, each including a choice of tea, fresh juice, Eggs Benedict or Smoked Salmon Club, five TWG Tea Macarons or two freshly baked scones, and a slice of cake from the dessert trolley. Every item was well-executed, flavorful, and elegantly served.
TWG offers an extensive selection of teas — smooth, aromatic, and always satisfying. The ambiance is refined and relaxing, with very comfortable seating. It’s one of our favorite spots to catch up with friends over great food and tea. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a leisurely brunch in a beautiful setting.
Came with my family (with a 10year old) to celebrate dad's birthday!
My mom whom had done the booking, said she was lucky to have booked this even 3 weeks in advance><
Tl;Dr, Pretty place, great service, great food!
It was my first visit here, and among all the dishes, the ones that stood out to me were the Braised Hamachi & Seasonal Hamachi (i usually don't order this fish👉👈). The uni that was served on the sashimi was really sweet and light, 0 fishiness whatsoever, perfect for people who can't stand the heaviness of uni.
Sashimi platter was superb, everything so fresh – firm flesh, no stench, nice selection, an even knifework. The aged bonito was interesting, definitely an acquired taste as its iron-forward, with a very slight tinge of acidity.
Mirin boshi: straight up reminded us of chinese pork jerky (bahkwa/肉干) with its texture, smokiness and sweet savoury taste, but its fish😲
7.8/10
Also a feedback from mom(previously visited): Get the grilled beef tenderloin instead of the Grilled Wagyu Ribeye. Wagyu is pretty standard, not the best ones she's had, so if you're just looking for a quick beef snack, the tenderloin will suffice👍🏻 It comes on a bed of onion, with sweet soy sauce. Simple but well made:)
Ebi fry was good too, they used large sweet shrimps for it so it had a light crunchy exterior and a soft, tender core.
9/10
Kaki(Oyster) Fry was decent too. You couldn't taste any fishiness/brininess from the oysters. It wasn't dry as well, so its good for people who don't like the raw ones (not me tho😋)
7.5/10
Grilled Crab Miso that came with toasty crustless bread😆 It has a strong crabby fishiness that not everyone can accept. But for those who enjoy eating the crab guts, this is a must order 📝

Service was great as well!!! We brought our own cakes in and they were helpful in trying to light our candles up. We had some questions on certain things and they tended to us without rushing off, even though it was reallly busy.
Do rmb to make reservations way in advance 👍🏻
I did not intend to have omakase but it was the weekend and the wait is 75 min. The greeter Boon was an amazing persuader and we decided to have omakase and what an experience! We were treated with such symphony of taste of different fishes and dishes. Our handsome chef Jeff (he requested for us to call him handsome 😆) mentioned that each chef can choose to come up with their specialty, and he had such good pairing of fish (which was of superb and fresh quality) that we were wowing throughout the dinner. The omakase is about 15 courses and each one is with such pleasant surprise - the price is about 198++ but totally worth it!
Fantastic omakase meal that's value for money and thoughtfully prepared. Chef KC took into consideration our dietary preferences and customised some parts of the omakase menu to suit our palate. We also appreciated his introduction of every dish and it's origin so we know what we were putting in our mouths. Great ambience, not too noisy. Memorable experience, and the peach sorbet at the end was the icing on the cake. Perfect ending to our meal☺️
A good dining place with your friend or family. Service are really good and the food came fast.
However, I didn't find the food to be super delicious or anything. Although the food presentation is really good (for photos).
Pricing wise it's on a higher end. If you are looking to eat really good japanese food with the same price point, probably better options out there. But the service and atmosphere here is the reason I came.
