Shout out to Leon, who served us wonderfully during our visit. We (4pax) got the $66 5 katsu platter, which we felt provides great value for money. The mille katsu had unique texture - as compared to standard tonkatsu joints - and the special flavours were innovative. In particular, we enjoyed the yuzu, black pepper and ume shiso flavours. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back :) P.S. I also like how the rice was served in a traditional Japanese rice tub, instead of an ordinary rice bowl.

Great service from the staff Food was good although minus 1 star cause the price is pretty steep but factoring location and taste 4 is a good spot The cheese was super disappointing tho, get everything else but that. Would’ve been better if it was layered cheese and not just some nacho cheese sauce thingy at the centre Rice is nice too Also a little oily

We ordered the original tonkatsu pork. The boar taint/unpleasant smell of pork is just too much to take in. The more I have it the more it stands out. Whereas for the yuzu flavor, the boar taint was slightly masked, but you can still feel it. I wouldn’t recommend taking pork, perhaps one should go for chicken or fish.

Ordered Chicken set meal but I’m the only one served rice in bowl whereas few other customers were served rice in bamboo bucket rice container No standard, disappointing Size of chicken was also smaller, no spoon or mayo provided, seating was limited.

Gave this place a try on Good Friday with my friends. Ordered 2 pax of the original tonkatsu (there’s a discount on this meal now costing $14.90 each). The rice came in a big Japanese rice container for us. Scoop the rice into the bowl provided. The rice portion was filling for us. The tonkatsu was tasty. There’s also 1 sweet and 1 salty sauce provided to dip the meat into. Miso soup was also nice, I finished the whole bowl of it 😂 Enjoyed the meal with good company overall.

Poorly managed branch. Came on 14 Dec 2025 evening at early 6 plus. many dishes particularly roasted duck and char siew were out of stock..we didn't know that until after we went in, they could have a pre ordering menu in their site that could somehow preview the availability of dishes asking for their services takes a lot of effort. have to be very near their proximity to get attention food however was decent which was the saving grace of the place please relook in your inventory management and if not possible at least inform in the queue page what's not available especially on a day where there are many patrons in queue

I’m truly amazed by how well-trained the service staff are. They put in their best effort to greet customers warmly while keeping the restaurant running smoothly. This level of service is rare in Singapore. Kudos to the team for their dedication! Even though Crystal Jade Kitchen is considered a more affordable line compared to Crystal Jade Palace, the staff here are exceptionally hardworking, attentive, and genuinely doing their best to impress customers.

Dim sum dishes are hit and misses, cooked main dishes are much better. Please bear in mind this is Crystal Jade Kitchen, do not compare it to Crystal Jade Palace. Had many dishes, like superior thick seafood soup (rish broth), fried hor fun with grouper (underwhelmed), har kow (just alright), preserved radish tofu (good), crispy pork and roast duck (not the best but better than many), jellyfish black fungus appetiser (skip if possible), plus many more😅 good place to enjoy lunch or tea with friends. Service was slightly overwhelming as staff kept asking to be rated favourably on google.

❤️ Food sharing IG @ jkgourmets 😋 美食分享尽在 IG @ jkgourmets Crystal Jade HK Kitchen was one of my preferred selection for Hong Kong cuisines. Orchard Takashimaya branch have been there for decades, renovated recently, and the tourist and local crowds have coming back and glad that their service was much efficient and quick turnover. We ordered their few Cantonese signature cuisines and some with new inventions. Dishes like Peking sweet and sour pork chop with Lychee, it was a lovely newly creation, combination of fruit and meat protein. Well balanced of sweetness and savory. $16.80/plate. Price at high side but with such great portion. Still worth a try. Traditional Yangzhou fried rice was really authentic with great ingredients, it's fragrance and flavourful. Portion was way enough for two. $15.80 per plate. Really satisfying! Lastly, a simple stir fry Kai-lan vegetables was in great presentation and with great flavours. Slightly expensive. $15.80/plate. Overall service standard is high and efficient. Very recommended to all especially for those Hongkong cuisines lover.
