The Whale Tea has just opened at Takashimaya, at the entrance of the Food Hall (B2), near the fountain! They’re offering a 1-for-1 promo on drinks, making it a great time to try new flavors. The staff are super friendly! I loved the Flaming Brown Sugar, the ONLY warm brown sugar drink in SG, served with warm pearls and creamy cheese foam. 🔥 Don’t miss the Pistachio Jin Guan Yin, which blends pistachio puree, Greek cheese, and exclusive tea. With options like Camellia Oolong Rose, award-winning Dark Plum Mint, and Perfect Grapefruit, there’s something for everyone! Don’t miss this exciting new spot! 🐋✨

Sip of heaven! The Fermented Rice Osmanthus Green Tea Latte & Fermented Rice Orchid BLC Latte from The Whale Tea are absolute game-changers! I loved the sweetness of the Osmanthus, which perfectly balanced the earthy notes of the fermented rice. The Orchid BLC Latte had a pleasant bitterness, but both drinks were unique and refreshing. The fermented rice added a lovely depth and complexity to each sip. Highly recommend trying both and experiencing the distinct flavours for yourself!

Jan25: Chanced upon this place while walking around Taka. Interestingly they use teapresso method for their tea too so it was actually really quite fragrant. Tried their signature Pistachio drink which was good! Fragrant Jin guan yin milk tea with creamy pistachio paste! The pistachio paste was good, but wished there was more~ May25: Returned to the the Orchid Biluochun latte. It was good! Very light floral scent, with fragrant milk tea. Comes with sweet fermented rice bits at the bottom, which gives the drink its sweetness (can’t customized sugar level). It’s a unique topping! Would recommend this to drink but it’s slightly expensive at $7.90!

I recently visited the new outlet of The Whale Tea at Takashimaya, and it was a fantastic experience! The location is convenient, right by the fountain in the food hall, making it a perfect spot to relax. To celebrate their grand opening, they had a buy 1 get 1 free drink promo, which was a delightful surprise! I tried their signature bubble tea, and it was delicious—rich in flavor and perfectly brewed. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I can’t wait to go back and try more flavors. Highly recommend for any tea lover or foodie!

The Whales Tea – Takashimaya The Whales Tea isn’t one of the big-name bubble tea chains in Singapore — they have only a few outlets, mostly in less convenient locations, with the Takashimaya basement store being a rare exception. That’s why I decided to give them a try instead of going for my usual Chi Cha San Chen, KOI, or LiHo. We ordered two drinks: Osmanthus Fresh Lemon and Osmanthus Oolong Tea with jelly. I’m usually not a big fan of Oolong tea, but the Osmanthus added a pleasant, light floral aroma that balanced out the tea’s natural earthiness. The Oolong wasn’t overpowering, making it easy to enjoy. It turned out to be a perfectly refreshing choice for a mid-afternoon break.

We got the Pistachio Jin Guan Yin and Pistachio Oolong. Mixed it really well but generally found the tea underwhelming. I’d expect more pistachio taste but it didn’t quite happen. Some sips had a strong burst of pistachio while most others had the blend tea. Felt weird that it was so uneven. Tea was still okay, but yeah.. underwhelming

Had Fermented Rice Orchid , really like the rice Wine aroma really savoury that you can finish in no time. Read that it has probiotics, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Will be seeking to try other flavours soon.

Ordered the award winning tomato plum. Quite mild I thought not much tomato but the plum was alright refreshing not too sourish. I also like the design of the cup lid where the inlet just folded in and straw goes in nicely. Service was ok, but wished there are more machines to take the orders

I recently visited The Whale Tea at their new Takashimaya location, and it’s definitely worth the hype! The shop is conveniently located at the entrance of the Takashimaya Food Hall (B2), right near the fountain, so it’s easy to find. Their drink menu offers a great variety, from fruity and refreshing options to rich and creamy milk teas. The tea flavor really shines through in every drink, which is something I always appreciate. My personal favorites were the Passion Fruit Lava for its refreshing taste and the Pistachio Jin Guan Yin for its unique flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Tried their pistachio series and was pleasantly surprised. The drink looks like it would be really sweet but it was quite alright. Rating was marked down as I thought it was quite expensive at $7.90, it was quite a small cup. Would probably visit again for an occasional indulgence, but definitely not for everyday drinking.
