One of the best bakeries in Singapore. Kouign amann is another level from the Joo Chiat Tanjong Katong Everton Park cafés, Tiong Bahru Bakery, etc. Most breads are slightly expensive but this is a worthwhile indulgence.

Popular bakery in Isetan at Shaw centre basement. There is always a crowd in queue at this bakery. No doubt most breads are priced at the higher end. Bought the corn bun and earl grey with bun. Each at 3.20. A good tasting experience of french baguette outside with fluffy inner texture. The taste of the bread is light, good to go with coffee, tea or even eat it on its own.

Great range of bread products for customersts' selections. Prices are reasonable. Very crowded. Long Q at Cashier. My favourite bread shop on the way home.

Located next to Isetan & Food Republic Shaw Centre basement, this is a lovely Japanese-French style bakery judging from best sellers. Good quality, tried 2 signatures best sellers 2 & 3 cranberry lemon and melted cheese and love them. Came recommended by regulars. Agree with others on the high prices &3.20 for 4 slices and 1 small bread. Probably not a daily Indulgence. Their baguette is good and good value at $4.40. Not as crusty as TB Bakery’s, equally good in taste and not as hard after a day. Always crowded and has a constant Q.

Tried the number 1 selling Shio roll. It’s amazing. Not that salty. Though the crust is lightly salted. Inner is very soft with moisture. The cranberry lemon is a little disappointing. Could be the Shio roll is too soft, yet the cranberry lemon is like normal dough. But the filling combination of lemon and cranberry is amazing. They have hourly freshly baked bread and cut on the spot. Quite interesting.

If you're an European bread and pastries kind of person, this will be a shopping heaven for you. They have special baking hours for different types of breads, which makes their bakes even fresher. Only issue however, is that the price point is a little higher.

My favourite place to get mini cheese cake. It’s so good you won’t even notice you’ve devoured more than 5 in a single sitting. It’s not too sweet, not jelak and enough to satisfy you for a tea time snack. The other pastries they have are pretty yummy as well but I would mainly come back for the cheese cake.

Normally love this bakery, but my An(red bean paste) Butter today was a complete letdown. It was sold without the anko filling! Just butter and bread. Extremely frustrating and a massive mistake.

While Johan have several other locations, this particular shop has maintained consistent quality over time. Other than their popular Shio Pan, my absolute favourite is the Fluffy Cheese Bread ($6.40 for half loaf, around 5-6 slices), which is released daily at 3 PM and 7 PM. It's generously loaded with cheese, and the bread has a soft, chewy texture. The aroma is heavenly, and it usually sells out within the first two hours. If you're lucky enough to spot it, I highly recommend giving it a try.
