Horrible experience in this shop. My friend and I used the PhotoBooth and we deposited $10 inside the booth. It was our first time coming to the shop and we did not know that you had to press some options on the screen before inserting the cash? Because we forgot to select an option, our $10 was gone just like that. The staff was insistent on no refund being given. What angers me is why the $10 cannot be refunded. Yes, we did make a mistake of not selecting the option but the store is eventually going to collect the $10 in revenue, right? After all, the machine is located in the STORE and labelled with the store’s branding. You’re telling me you can’t refund it to us with the money in the cash register? Also, if the store is aware that its machine has such onerous functions (accepting cash without refunds if certain buttons are not pressed), it should at least station a staff at the machine area. Or, it should have a POP UP WINDOW on the machine screen itself stating “insert cash FIRST. No refund”. In our case, there was no one to inform us of the machines onerous terms before we went in. While there were small written signs stating the instructions, I believe these signs are not sufficient notice given how onerous the terms are. Perhaps the store can look up on the legality of incorporation of terms through notices. Their signs definitely lack the required extent of “notice”. Hope they can be more responsible in their business dealings especially for such unfair terms
