Hi Noodle brings a unique self-service noodle concept to the basement level of 313 Somerset, combining elements of hotpot customisation with fast-casual convenience. Located at B3-19/20, this restaurant caters to budget-conscious diners seeking quick, satisfying Chinese noodle dishes in the heart of the Orchard shopping district. The hybrid format draws inspiration from Hai Di Lao DIY approach and IKEA self-service model, creating an interactive dining experience at accessible price points.
The menu centres on Chinese noodle preparations ranging from dry scallion oil noodles to Sichuan-style soup noodles and rice bowls. The signature Scallion Oil Noodle anchors the value proposition at just .90 per serving, making it one of Orchard Road most affordable sit-down meal options. What elevates the experience beyond basic fast food is the extensive condiments station where diners customise their dishes with various sauces, chillies, and seasonings—transforming simple noodle bowls into personalised creations that cater to individual taste preferences.
The restaurant sweetens the deal by including free ice cream or coffee with every main dish purchase, adding dessert or beverage without additional cost. Customer feedback highlights the delicious tomato soup base, well-seasoned salted egg preparations, and flavourful side dishes, whilst the efficient transaction process keeps queues moving despite the venue popularity. The fast service model suits lunch rushes and quick dinner stops, though the limited seating can create space constraints during peak hours.
Operating daily from 11am to 9:30pm and reachable at +65 9742 8645, Hi Noodle serves the constant stream of shoppers, students, and office workers moving through 313 Somerset. The combination of rock-bottom pricing, customisable flavours, included dessert or coffee, and convenient basement location makes it a go-to option for anyone seeking filling, flavourful Chinese noodles without the premium typically charged along Orchard Road.
Noodle texture is great! I ordered the 咋酱面 (Minced Pork Noodle) and found that the overall flavour was slightly too mild. Would have been better if there was a bit more meat too. But the saving grace is that the handmade noodle texture is very good.
Also, they reward you with a free ice cream cone if you return your tray. This is much appreciated given that these days in Singapore, most F&B establishments expect paying customers to do the work for them.
They also offer a free exchange of noodles if the taste is not suitable for you. 👍

A fantastic spot for late-night food cravings!
The grilled squid on a stick is perfectly cooked, smoky, and seasoned with a delicious blend of spices. It's a must-try for anyone who loves street food. The other skewers we ordered were equally tasty. Can't wait to go back!
It's not just noodle, it's an art!

My third visit to Hi Noodle, and it’s been great so far! The food tastes good and is nicely presented. The place is clean, and the service is friendly. I especially love the tomato soup noodles — the broth is spot on! The garlic crayfish is delicious too. Hope you can consider adding the 十三香 flavor in the future. The free ice cream for returning the tray is a nice touch!
However, the white peach & lime tea tasted a bit strange — not really to my liking.

Chefs and Service staff are very friendly and attentive towards us. Staff with pony tail even came to top up my soup and ensure my dining experience is taken care of. My first time dining here. Awesome, will come again.
Edit, you can have ice cream everytime you returned a tray. Gotta love this place so much.

Visit here all the time, their scallion oil noodles ($6.90) r great, and u can add whatever topping or sides u want just beware their added costs (range about $4 to $6). I'm a big fan of their crunchy spicy cucumbers, and their fried chicken cutlet and sausages are alright too, and on its own the noodles r abit too plain. Its more or less $10ish for the noodles, which for the quality that they r is quite worth it.
