Been here a few times, and it’s never failed to satisfy me and my eating partners. The price is high, but it’s one of the places in Singapore where I believe it is justified by the taste and service. The onion soup is to die for, and the escargot is outstanding.

Amazing food. Went for the 3 course lunch set which consist of a starter, main, dessert and coffee/tea. Service was attentive and not intrusive - servers were proactive in refilling water and discreetly checked on our progress before serving the next course. French onion soup was really flavourful and the cheese generous. I also saw photos of other reviewers and the quantity of cheese seemed to differ quite a bit so I might have gotten lucky this time. The cook of the pork loin was superb. It had just a slightest hint of pink and was so juicy and flavourful. The sauce, a “potatoes in supreme sauce”, was fragrant, creamy with a hint of buttery goodness. Brussels sprouts and salsify were also very well done. Had the chocolate mousse for dessert and it was just a nice balance of thick (dark choc) and airiness. Wish it came with a side of chantilly cream. Iced latte was alright but overall, really great value and excellent food. Not overly salty or heavy like some French dishes can get. Tried the duck confit too but it was a tad too salty and some parts were dry. Go for pork - if I’m not wrong, it’s only available in the set lunch menu.

The service, food, and ambience were nothing short of exceptional. What first appeared to be a cozy, intimate setting turned into one of the most memorable evenings we had in Singapore. Every detail—from the attentive staff to the inviting atmosphere—made the experience feel special. If you’re dining here for any occasion, one dish you absolutely must try is the French onion soup. I would go as far as to call it the best in Singapore. A truly unforgettable dining experience that exceeded all expectations.

Came for the set lunch but still received very good service. Lunch lasted 1.5 hours with each course slowly sent to you. We were never once rushed to finish our meals. The decor also brought us back in time with the classic bistro vibes. 10/10 would come again

Nice and cosy french restaurant in the city. Steak and frites are recommended and also the mussels. Only issue I had with the place was the kitchen exhaust fumes was so strong as it was literally smoking the street next to the restaurant. Be sure to book a table as its pretty small and its packed. Service was good.

A great eat out experience with the family. Lovely taste. Wonderful service. I love the comfortable atmosphere of the place. The food? Amazing. We went for a variety of staples to share and campur together, charcoal grilled prime ribs that came with great portions of fresh salad, fries, together with bouillabaisse, duck confit, escargots, frog legs, mussels. And finished with peach melbas and tarte aux pommes. We will return.

Would just stick to steak and frites here. And the steak is one of the best we have in Singapore. Well cooked and seasoned. For the desserts they were really generous with the alcohol too :)

Bistro du Vin brought me right back to France. We had two mains and the apple tarte — all incredibly authentic and delicious. The atmosphere is cosy and charming, and the owner and staff were warm and welcoming. A lovely dining experience overall!

Service was attentive. 1st order was 120gm Duck Rillette. Is oily but taste good. It's go well with the gherkin and pear onion. 2nd order was Beef Cheek. It was real tender and the red wine gravy taste toothsome. 3rd order was Sauteed garden vegetable. The roasted pumpkin and chestnut were sweet and not hard. Goes well with the romanesco. 4th order was Creme Brule. Soft Custard with hardened Caramelized Sugar topping. Just the right taste. 5th order was a cup of Macchiato. I need to put two packets of sugar in order to suit my taste. Overall is good french food but watch out for that oily Duck Rillette. I had diarrhea three hours later. Is not suitable for people like me with weak stomach.

There are countless French restaurants in Singapore, but if you’re looking for one with an extensive menu of timeless classics, look no further than Bistro Du Vin. The dishes here are hearty, comforting, and full of soul. A special mention goes to the bouillabaisse — the broth was rich and flavorful, and not once did I find a bone in the red mullet (quite a feat, since this fish is known for its fine pin bones). The seafood was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderfully fresh. As I enjoyed the dish, I was transported back to my late father-in-law’s home, where he first introduced me to bouillabaisse when I was still dating my husband. Revisiting that memory at Bistro Du Vin made our wedding anniversary celebration even more meaningful. Thank you, Bistro Du Vin, for making our day so special. Highly recommended.
