I had lunch with my friends and ordered the lunch meat set, which included Steak & Potatoes, a dessert， I then add on an iced lemon tea. I usually prefer my steak medium rare, but the menu didn’t offer an option to choose the degree of doneness. To my surprise, the steak was cooked to a perfect medium to medium rare. However, it might be helpful for the staff to inform those who aren't used to medium rare steak. The steak wasn’t thick-cut but was excellently prepared, and the price was quite satisfactory. The salad was good, although I found the bacon a bit too fatty for my taste. I had high expectations for the dessert jelly based on reviews, but it was a bit disappointing—it tasted bland and watery. The add-on iced lemon tea was quite good, and the staff mentioned it was homemade. Unfortunately, I prefer unsweetened lemon tea and had noted this in the order, but the staff said it couldn’t be made without sugar because it was homemade, which was a bit disappointing. Note that the restaurant opens at 12 PM and closes at 2:30 PM, reopening for dinner at 6 PM, so the lunch time felt a bit rushed for a gathering with friends.

Enjoyed the meats here very much! Chicken was really tender and juice. Tomato soup was amazing! It’s not the normal tomato soup! Got some stock, feels like some dashi stock. Appetisers and desserts were also very surprisingly good as they serve something different from the usual. Particularly love the plum jelly. Atmosphere wise, a bit noisy due to low ceiling but otherwise, would have been 5 stars!

Ordered their lunch set with 50% off the second bowl and I must say it’s so worth it! Both Salmon and Pork bowl are equally good, comes with a starter (eggplant) and 2 types of dessert to choose from. Each of us is only $27, highly recommend this place! Ambience is cosy with plenty of seats, the servers are welcoming and friendly!

Had KOAL on a weekday for their lunch set menu. The place was totally empty which was quite sad but I did enjoy the privacy. Went for the salmon bowl and half spring chicken. Salmon bowl was delightful, all the ingredients was very well done and I especially love how soft the salmon meat is but for $31 I don’t know if it justifies the price. Spring chicken was very mid but the potatoes were good. Dessert was part of the menu but definitely not worth at all, please bring back the tiramisu or at least give an option to top up! Fortunately there was a promotion by the mall where 2nd mains get 50% off.

We came here for lunch and really enjoyed the meal. The atmosphere was laid back and casual. The service was excellent. And the food was delicious. They had two choices of starter and both were very good. The mains have a good range. Some carry a small premium. The dessert selection is a little hit and miss but okay all the same. I do think they downgraded the size of the mains slightly, and it could be a couple of dollars cheaper, so not quite five stars but still a good meal.

My kinda food! I really liked the experience here. Most of the food here was grilled nicely. My chicken thigh was crispy and well done, and the steak we ordered was pretty juice and cooked just right. The appetizers were also pretty tasty. The soup was nice and savoury while the bread roll was infused with some bacon flavour. Price was not too expensive either. Would definitely visit again to try out the other dishes.

Starting with the bread that is a must order as it’s made on the spot so it’s nice and hot! The triple fried potatoes and the cabbage were on point. The meats were grilled well. But the crumble was disappointing. Should have peeled off the skin of the apples as it gave it a sour after taste. The makoli and grapefruit cocktails were refreshing!

Wow what great restaurant. Each dish we choose was tasty and well presented. The staff here are so friendly. Every dish we had I'd recommend. The famous dishes here of cauliflower soup and the bread were very good. Pork was super tasty. Beers served ice cold too. Well done.

Came at their opening time on a Saturday night without reservation and they managed to fit us in. Taste-wise everything was pretty good and service was efficient and friendly, however portions were a bit small for quite a few of the items and kitchen was very backed up so there was a lot of waiting in between dishes! Oct 2023 update: from 4 stars to 5 stars Came back after one year and food was even better than I remembered. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully charred. Portions are larger now, service was incredibly efficient and we had such an amazing meal! Will definitely be back!

Bread roll, Caesar salad and charred broccoli were super delicious! We even ordered seconds. Pricing is reasonable, will come back again if I’m in the area. Sharing plate - mini ribs was the only disappointment.
