I really enjoy the shio pan here. The savoury flavours such as salted, truffle, tamago, and kombucha are simply blissful. The sweet versions like matcha and Hokkaido milk are also delightful, with each bite blending the savoury bun perfectly with the burst of sweet cream inside. I have tried many flavours, and my favourite remains the green onion sour cream, though sadly it is not available at the Centrepoint branch. I did not enjoy the cheese corn flavour. Overall, Shio and Sato offers a wonderful variety. Hopefully, the green onion flavour will return to the menu soon.

I used to only buy Shio Pan from their pop-up stores at Takashimaya and Star Vista, so I was really happy to discover that Shio & Sato has a dine-in outlet at The Centrepoint. I ordered my favourite Tamago Shio Pan together with clam chowder and milk tea — the bread dipped in the soup was super satisfying. They’ve also added new soup options like clam chowder and pumpkin soup, which I really enjoyed.

I personally found the bun to be too dense. Even after they heat it up, there was a lack of fragrance. Only the bottom of the bun was crusty and buttery. Original - ok Garlic butter - not enough garlic taste. It was instead loaded with sesame. I guess its a garlic butter for people who doesn like garlic haha.

5/5 stars! ⭐️ I'm obsessed with the Sea Salt Shio Pan here! 🍞️👌 The bread is perfectly soft on the inside and crispy on the outside - a match made in heaven! 🔥 The combination of salt and butter is absolute perfection 💯. Try it when it is hot! Plus, the staff is super friendly and welcoming 😊. I'm not usually a fan of soft bread, but this one is a total game-changer 🤯. Highly recommend giving it a try! 👍

Tried the Omiyage box because of all the good reviews and hype. Unfortunately, the savoury breads were underwhelming, with flavours on the very mild side — even the garlic bread lacked that garlicky kick. The truffle flavour was burnt mostly with no truffle taste but left a bitter aftertaste, I think it's a flavour that people rarely fail at. Woah, that kombu... Degrading that fine ingredient at its peak. :( tamago feels like just under prepared egg mayo with a fanciful name to it. The original just doesn't taste like shio pan at all. The sweet flavours were mostly average; only the matcha and Hokkaido milk stood out for me. It didn’t quite live up to the hype personally. Not something I’d buy again, but just my honest take.

Probably one of the best i have tried so far, especially when it is hot. We tried quite a few of the flavours- curry, hokkaido milk, garlic herb cheese, truffle, kombu and we all agreed that the garlic herb cheese stood out the most. It's a bit pricey but at least you wouldn't be disappointed as quality is there. The folks there are also friendly and polite and the place is rather spacious.

First time here after searching online for shio pan in Singapore. I think price here is reasonable compared to another shio pan store selling original at $7.90. Taste is good too, it is the oil/butter/salt that makes a shio pan a shio pan. So I don’t think it’s too oily at all. It is comparable to the Korea shio pans I had. They have soup and drinks also. When I went, only 1 staff (girl in cap) was on duty probably the other staff went for lunch. But no complains from me because I can see she is trying her best to be as fast as she can. F&B not easy with high rentals and all. Also hiring is also not easy, not many Singaporeans want to work this line. If we can all have just a little more patience and empathy… Packaging is also acceptable for me. Extra packaging is extra cost and also not so good for environment. I will patronise again!

tried the original sea salt because im a purist. due to the generous size of the bun, i feel there was not enough butter taste to go around. the butter was concentrated only in the centre... leaving the other parts a little plain the base also didn't seem to retain its crispiness (ate it on the spot) and was a bit greasy and dense

I’d heard about the shio pan from this bakery for a while and finally got to try it! I was pleasantly surprised—even though it had already cooled down, it still delivered rather well on both texture and flavor. The bottom crust retained a satisfying crispiness, and each bite was rich with buttery notes, balanced by a subtle saltiness. The interior had a lovely chew—not the light, airy kind, but denser and more substantial, in a really comforting way. That said, I did find the bottom crust a bit thick and oily, while the top was more dry and soft than crackly (perhaps due to it cooling down). I also tried the chocolate version, but the filling was sparse and unevenly distributed—mostly on one end of the bun. Portion-wise, their shio pans are larger than average and priced accordingly. Still, it’s clearly a well-crafted bake and probably one of the better ones I’ve had in SG so far. I’d definitely love to try it fresh out of the oven next time!
