Small thai restaurant at 111 somerset. Tables were very small and cramped together (not good for large crowds. The food was actually really good and tasty. However, the portions were EXTREMELY small and nothing like the pictures in the menu… was pretty disappointing as the flavors were good. Although the taste was there, the small portion size with a relatively high price point will not entice me to visit this eatery again. Adding on, although we were eating in, they gave us plastic utensils and our food were in take-away boxes for some reason? Very strange indeed…

While waiting for dinner with friends in the same mall, my husband randomly chose this small cafe for tea. It turns out to be a cafe run by Thai people. Authentic Thai because they don’t serve hot drinks, and my sabai-sabai 50% sugar level brown pearl milk tea tastes like 100% by Singapore standard 😂. “Bring Thailand Closer to You”, and they succeeded. They have friendly staff who chats with me in Thai, playing Thai songs in the background. A very interesting cafe.

Small thai eatery located within 111 with a convenience store concept. Seatings are limited as the store is small. We were wondering why the table is so small and worried there wouldn't be sufficient space for our food, however once we received the small food portion we understand why there's no issue - small portion small table. Flavour is on point, very authentic thai food, however with other thai food options nearby (orchard plaza, killiney) with lower price but bigger serving we will definitely not revisit. Tomyam seafood had 2 regular prawns (not thai river prawns like some other photos) , 2 frozen squid slices, and some white shimeji mushrooms.

This place is so underrated, and I really want people to know about it! I came with expectations of a good basil pork with rice and it did not fail me. Just last week, I had an expensive basil pork rice at a thai restaurant which was more expensive and not authentic. Rama bear’s was absolutely delicious and came with a generous amount of meat. Egg top up $1 but it was nicely fried with runny center I like that I can choose spice level of low, med, high. I also ordered the thai milk tea with zero sugar. At $13.30 for a generous amount of pork and well fried egg with a drink, it is a steal in an area like Somerset.

Pasta La Vista is a wonderful hidden gem! Brought my kids to try the pasta. They had aglio olio and carbonara and all 3 of them loved it! 🥰 I had the miso cream scallop bacon & potato pasta. It was absolutely delicious! They have 2 types of pasta. Italian and fusion (Japanese). We tried both, and I highly recommend you to try it too! The shop was run by only one person, but he was quite quick to serve us though there were a few orders before. Each bowl of pasta was cooked individually. Oh, and it’s very very reasonably priced! Do consider coming and trying their pasta! I’ll be back! Yum yum!

I’d heard about the shio pan from this bakery for a while and finally got to try it! I was pleasantly surprised—even though it had already cooled down, it still delivered rather well on both texture and flavor. The bottom crust retained a satisfying crispiness, and each bite was rich with buttery notes, balanced by a subtle saltiness. The interior had a lovely chew—not the light, airy kind, but denser and more substantial, in a really comforting way. That said, I did find the bottom crust a bit thick and oily, while the top was more dry and soft than crackly (perhaps due to it cooling down). I also tried the chocolate version, but the filling was sparse and unevenly distributed—mostly on one end of the bun. Portion-wise, their shio pans are larger than average and priced accordingly. Still, it’s clearly a well-crafted bake and probably one of the better ones I’ve had in SG so far. I’d definitely love to try it fresh out of the oven next time!

First time here after searching online for shio pan in Singapore. I think price here is reasonable compared to another shio pan store selling original at $7.90. Taste is good too, it is the oil/butter/salt that makes a shio pan a shio pan. So I don’t think it’s too oily at all. It is comparable to the Korea shio pans I had. They have soup and drinks also. When I went, only 1 staff (girl in cap) was on duty probably the other staff went for lunch. But no complains from me because I can see she is trying her best to be as fast as she can. F&B not easy with high rentals and all. Also hiring is also not easy, not many Singaporeans want to work this line. If we can all have just a little more patience and empathy… Packaging is also acceptable for me. Extra packaging is extra cost and also not so good for environment. I will patronise again!
