Love the old time style decor. Easy to order system and food came promptly too. One of our fav breakfast spots with our old folks. There are two easy to access drop off bays and convenient parking in the basement

The lunch sets are pretty good value for money! Come here mostly for lunch. It does get a little crowded but it’s not impossible to find seats as the staff will direct you to your seats. I enjoy trying the various lunch sets. So far I’ve tried the curry chicken and the prawn noodle. Even though the menu doesn’t allow you to change the prawn noodles to rice noodles, you can actually inform the staff that you want to make a change and the staff can arrange the change for you. The chicken wings in the set tastes v well marinated with the prawn paste and the curry fish balls does remind me of the curry fishballs I get at dai pai dong in Hong Kong. I like the fact that the drinks which come in the set has the option of zero sugar, although it will be great if there’s an option of changing it to a hot drink. All in, this is a pretty good cafe with heritage vibes.

Nice spot for a classic Nanyang breakfast in the middle of Orchard. Soft-boiled eggs were done perfectly, creamy and smooth. The kopi-O was strong and shiok,l. Place is busy but has a great old-school vibe with all the retro decorations. Overall, a solid and satisfying breakfast stop if you’re nearby!

Took an opportunity 🍀 to bring my mother 👩🏻‍🦳 here for lunch 🍜 to just relive some good old Retro 💽📠📼🎞️📺 times and check out the food. Restaurant – Although they have a large seating area, expect a queue 🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️. So do come early. There are two seatings, indoor and outdoor. Outdoor as in you will sit at the front of the restaurant, you will still enjoying the aircon of the shopping mall. (See my pics 📸and video 🎥) Place is adorned with nostalgic decorations that stretch back to the 1980s. 🕹️📻📺☎️🤖 Certainly brought back lots of memories. The deco runs from floor to ceiling and covers almost every possible space. In that aspect, seating indoors at the restaurant will enable you to admire 🤨 the decorations more. Food – Self service scan QR code 📲and pay 🧾 at the counter. We had a large order but most of it came on time ⏰, and we didn’t have to wait very long for it. The million-dollar question, is the food good? 😎 I will place it firmly between Good to Great but NOT ❌ between Great to Awesome. I have had better but what they do have is consistency across all the dishes. 👍 You can see from my pics that we ordered a lot of dishes, and they came out with a lot of good consistency. ✅✅✅ A cool place for a meal, go check them out! Visited on a weekend for lunch and it was pretty crowded. Waited for about 10 minutes before I got a seat. Had a look at the menu and looked like they do have a variety of items. Though initially wanted to try the nasi lemak ended up getting a noodle dish instead. Also ordered a drink and a side and a French toast as dessert. First came the lychee lemongrass. It was alright though was a little sweet. I hope they didn't add any syrup and the sweetness comes from the lychee. Then came the moonlight horfun. First look it didn't give the impression it was a moonlight horfun, but rather a fried kway teow with an egg yolk on it. And it tasted exactly the same as a plate of fried kway teow which was quite disappointing if you ask me. Not sure if this is the right way for a moonlight horfun, but I definitely preferred the tze char version of it. Then came the prawn roll. Not a bad dish considering the portion and the price, and how big each piece was. Could taste the prawn and the water chestnut and was quite well executed. Interesting they gave sour plum sauce as the condiment instead of the normal black sweet sauce. The highlight for me was probably the French toast. Loved the eggy taste of the French toast and the good peanut butter inside the toast. Also well executed for me, waited for a while to finish the mains before eating and it was still quite hot. The bill was quite reasonable for so many things ordered, generally an okay meal except for the main. The only saving grace was probably the prawns were quite fresh in the dish.

Review of Great Nanyang Heritage Café @ TripleOne Somerset Great Nanyang has several outlets across Singapore, but this particular branch at TripleOne Somerset stands out for its beautifully curated, nostalgic décor. The vintage televisions, old-school Milo tins, and classic 1950s touches instantly transport you back in time. It’s a wonderful place to unwind over dinner while soaking in the warm, familiar vibes that evoke childhood memories. Their new menu combos are also a nice addition—pairing any main course with a drink and an extra side makes the meal feel complete and great value for money. Overall, it’s a charming spot that blends heritage with comfort food, making every visit feel like a trip down memory lane.

Nice old school vibe feel cafe/restaurant serving similar Malaysia foods. Nasi lemak rice using basmati rice, a more healthier chose bt nt much of coconut/nasi lemak taste. Fried chicken was tender enough . Dry mee siam was good, light n nt much of spices, suit my taste buds..curry chicken surprised me! Taste like mum home cooked curry chicken. Ice kopi n ice yuanyang was good too. Recommended bt if there's a Q, I wnt Q for it. 😬

I was looking for a Muslim-friendly place to try laksa and found this cozy café near 111 Somerset, serving local Singaporean dishes in a nostalgic old-town vibe. I tried their lunch set menu for $14.9, which was totally worth it for both portion and taste! ⭐ Nyonya Curry Laksa 5/5: The broth was delicious, thick, flavorful, and so comforting. ⭐ Shredded Chicken Hor 4/5: The broth was lighter, but the prawn was huge! ⭐ Curry Fish Ball 5/5: Loved it! the curry tasted almost the same as the laksa. ⭐ Tuna Mayo Toast 5/5: Perfectly toasted with lots of tuna filling. ⭐ Ice Kopi O 5/5: The sweetness was just right! They served everything quickly, I waited no more than 10 minutes. I loved the decoration, and it’s surely a great spot for brunch or a chill afternoon.

Great food, authentic coffee, and a lovely ambience. One suggestion to enhance the ordering experience: consider labelling dishes on the ordering platform the same way as on the physical menu, for example by using the dish codes. This would make it easier for customers to locate items without having to hunt for dish names.

The drinks are very good and reasonably priced. We like their ice kopi, lemon with sour plum, golden lime with 7 Up and iced lemon tea. The restaurant was busy when we came around 3:30pm on a Saturday. The dishes were good too, especially the nasi lemak with curry chicken. The background music was a bit too loud though. The service was quick and the staff were friendly.
