Impeccable service by Pui Theng. Warm, welcoming and a highly personal experience. As a watch collector, I brought my antique Patek Philippe Circa 1902 Pocket Watch from the 19th century into the boutique to seek advice on pulling out the extract from the archives for this beautiful time piece that is over 120 years old. Pui Theng patiently facilitated an appointment for me at the service center for that purpose. I also tried on the classics from the Aquanaut, Calatrava and Nautilus lines. Before I knew it, more than an hour passed by. It can only be attributed to Pui Theng who made the experience so seamless as we took the time to appreciate the time pieces and chatted about the beautiful art of watchmaking. Truly a top notch visit. The historical, generational, masterful craftsmanship of the Patek Philippe Brand at its finest.

I had a great experience at The Hour Glass while trying to understand more about a Rolex timepiece. My watch specialist, Woody Hu, was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about helping me make an informed decision. He took the time to explain the details clearly and made the whole visit enjoyable. Highly recommend speaking with Woody if you’re exploring boutique watches!

I finally managed to get my long-awaited watch, one I’ve been yearning for a very long time, and the experience made it even more special. It was our first visit to The Hour Glass at Takashimaya, and Ivan made both my husband and me felt like longtime customers. He was welcoming, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about watches — sharing fascinating insights about the history and movements of different timepieces. I had the chance to try on the Land-Dweller 36 in Oystersteel and managed to register my interest in other models. Ivan’s professionalism and genuine passion for horology made our visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommend speaking to him (Ivan Stepanov) if you’re visiting THG at Takashimaya! Just a little more on Ivan, he is Russian, looks Chinese and speaks like an Indonesian….drop by if you’re nearby The Hour Glass at Takashimaya and witness him together with the beautiful timepieces.

Just decided to hop in to look at watches, and Mr Raymond Ang is such a delight to chat with. Not pushy, very knowledgeable, very engaging. It was such a joy to chit chat with him as well. Very friendly SA, small talks about your hobbies, life, passion, about watches (he’s very enthu about it as well). Definitely fun talking to him. Although, there isn’t any watches on sale atm, I really hope this can be a stepping stone to building a relationship together! If you are looking at watches or need a friendly SA, Mr Raymond is the one to go to.

Went there to buy the fragrant flower manga volume 6-8, unfortunately I couldn’t find 7 so I went to the information counter to ask them if they had any in stock, the legendary employee checked the shelves before going into the void or something and magically spawning the volume out of thin air, pretty sure she went in the back in all seriousness but she came out sweating and stuff, wasn’t even a long wait actually so she must have ran. 10/10 customer service the employee was also very nice, didn’t manage to catch her name but 10/10 service, good job to her and good job Kinokuniya!

What an awesome bookstore! Its so huge, you can get lost among aisle upon aisle of books and much else. If you love books you can easily spend a whole day here. Better to bring your wish list and tackle them first, otherwise you meander here n there for hours, though not a bad thing :) Hope to come back again..

If anyone asks me, I always tell them my favourite bookstore is Kinokuniya. More specifically, this one in Singapore is the best branch I’ve shopped at in my opinion. It’s very large which means it has a large range of books varying from studies to fiction to manga. Not only do they sell books, Kinokuniya also sells merch from different brands like mofusand,alien stage and much more.Lots of limited and exclusive stuff. Some things are a bit expensive but that’s to be expected. I also adored the kpop album section. Truly impressive and I always go here when I can :) ❤️❤️❤️

Giant bookstore with a classic selection. I bought a few plays and a Sonny Angel for an affordable price! The staff are amazing and it is such a fun & worth it place to go in SG. So massive I could literally live here :)
