The packaging was so hard to open it literally ruined my appetite for cookies. While the cookies tasted good, it was more of a generic chocolate chip kind of taste (unlike Famous Amos that has a distinct taste). It also isn't very sweet which was good.

Used to be good when the boss(the uncle) was mending the stall but not anymore now when replaced by all these young gals. Rude and the way they handle the cookies were unhygienic. Their cookies aren't cheap yet service was subpar!

Atmosphere is good. Food is salty the miso soup is salty too. Really nothing to shout about just because they are from Japan the food is really mediocre. Prawn is big for the tempura soba set. The soba is hard and we feedback they told us it is just like that! Service is lousy. The server can’t even understand when we told him the soba is hard. Like not well-cooked. This is definitely a one off visit!

My family and I enjoyed an extraordinary dining experience at Suju Masayuki this morning. We ordered the Miso Gindara, Salmon, Pork Belly Nabe, and Buri Daikon, and each dish was cooked to absolute perfection. The flavors were authentic and memorable, and the quality and quantity of the food exceeded our expectations, especially for the reasonable prices. The staff were respectful, attentive, and consistently helpful, making the meal even more enjoyable. This is, without a doubt, the best Japanese restaurant we’ve visited. Highly recommend!

We asked our Singapore based Japanese friend where her favourite restaurant is for Soba. Her recommendation was Suju Masayuki at Takashimaya. The restaurant is located on a traffic island across the driveway of Takashimaya. Luckily, there is a zebra crossing as traffic is very heavy along the driveway. We ordered the Soba Artisan Course for lunch. The food was excellent and the soba as good as what we had in Japan. The dishes were served one at a time instead of coming out at the same time as in many other restaurants. Tomo-san was very attentive and helpful. Despite the restaurant being very busy, she took the time to explain each dish to us. One has to be a little patient as the wait for the food could take a while. Reservations are a must as every table in the restaurant was full when we were there for lunch. We liked the food so much that we made a reservation to have lunch again at the restaurant.

Went for an experience over lunch for the very first time . $78 ++ for a set course of dishes as shown . Is all worth it . If you are looking into handmade soba hot or cold soba, only this outlet has it !

Always love this restaurant for its authentic soba, but there are some pain points which can be improved.. especially given the premium price we are paying per pax. 1) The set of tempura n soba comes with a soba soya sauce only, without tempura sauce. The staff said the tempura sauce is only provided if I order a tempura set as an a la carte. However, the sauce became diluted n greasy (as seen in the pic). 2) Even though I ordered additional soba for $16, the restaurant refuse to serve me with a new soba sauce n commented I should continue to eat with the same sauce which is now already diluted n greasy. I will have to pay addition $4 if I want a new sauce for my soba. These greatly dampened my dining experience. I would expect at a minimum, the right condiment matches with the right food to enhance the taste n flavor. The staff gave me a free soba sauce in the end. Instead of damage control, I hope they will view things from customer perspective and how to improve customer experience for that short 1hr time in their restaurant. I am likely going to another outlet instead of Takashimaya for my next soba craving.

Suju is no doubt the best Japanese restaurant (cooked food) in Singapore at this tier. Have been a patron for the past 7 years at their Mandarin Gallery outlet. No one time have they ever failed me in the consistency of the taste! I must say this one in Takashimaya is even more impressive! A great thank you to Chef Kar Seng and the rest of the wonderful team 👍👍👍

This Japanese restaurant is in a fantastic location, making it a convenient and appealing spot for a nice meal. The sushi is fresh and well-prepared, and the overall food quality is quite good. While prices are on the higher side, the experience and flavors make it a solid option if you’re looking to treat yourself. A great choice for sushi lovers!

The place was packed and noisy during our visit. The bright ambience and spartan decor and environs hardly resembled a cosy Japanese restaurant, more like a typical HK dim-sum eatery. Perhaps, it was the afternoon peak-hours then. Food, though somewhat comparatively pricey, was satisfactory; in particular, the deep-fried oyster and pan-fried fish dishes. Staff were highly attentive and responsive to guests' needs. They truly made the difference to our dining experience.
