The scone set was ridiculously good value and the food prices are seriously reasonable. They were TWICE the size of the ones we got from TWG and half the price. The ginger and lemon tea was just OK though. Overall still a great and fuss free experience when you crave some scones

Dear M&S Café Manager, I adore M&S—it’s a British institution. Which is why today’s experience was deeply disappointing. After buying clothes and food, we sat down for a treat—tea and scones. The scones? Lovely. The jam and cream? Pathetic. And I mean blink-and-you-miss-it pathetic. Two scones, one thimble of jam, and cream so stingy it felt like it was being rationed. I asked for more—and what happened? You charged me for another thimble of JAM and CREAM! What’s the objective here—saving a few micro-pennies while alienating loyal customers? When I raised this at the till, I was met with blank stares - common sense clearly wasn’t on the menu. Here’s a tip: teach your staff that customer service isn’t about squeezing every last drop of profit out of a pot of jam. It’s about making people feel welcome, not miserly. Because right now, your policy screams “Mean Scrooge” louder than a Christmas Carol. Merry Christmas - I won’t be visiting again.

Very open space with little privacy, not very conducive for work or private discussions. Totally in love with the Magic Coffee. Smoked Salmon Toastie's not bad but might be good if could throw in some fries for the price. Some staff were not too friendly.

The food was acceptable, and the coleslaw was quite delicious. However, the staff were not attentive. Especially one Filippino female staff member was abrupt—she didn’t make eye contact and just placed the bill folder without saying thank you or acknowledging us. The only attentive server was a trainee. Overall, the food was on par to McDonald's, but the service was even worse, and the prices for such food and service standard.

This cafe has a great location and attentive waitstaff. However, I think there's room for improvement in a couple of areas: 1. Service Speed - The wait time for food and beverages was quite long. I noticed only one or two people seemed to be managing the counter and preparing orders. 2. Coffee and Walnut Cake - The coffee and walnut cake was overwhelmingly sweet. It was so sugary that I left the cafe with this thought: "There's sugar, and then there's this cake." As for the tomato & basil soup, it wasn't to my personal taste.

My recent visit to the M&S cafe on 30 July was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. My wife and I went in for a quick bite and were shown to our seats promptly. However, despite being seated, no one approached us to take our order for a full 10 minutes. We had to actively look around and call for a staff member, which took quite a while. When a lady staff member finally came over, she was rude and abrupt. Her attitude made it seem like she didn't want to take our order at all. We ordered three simple items: a bagel with smoked salmon, mac and cheese, and quiche—all of which only needed heating up, so we expected a quick turnaround. However, we ended up waiting a total of 45 minutes. At the 20-minute mark, I asked another staff member about the status of our order. He said he would check, but there was no follow-up. After another 20 minutes, I went to the counter to inquire again. They told me that there was a big group ahead of us and they were serving their food first. As someone in the F&B industry, I can understand the delays caused by large groups. However, this is not an excuse for poor service. The least they could have done was inform us of the expected wait time or provide a follow-up when I asked 20 minutes earlier. Overall, it was a poorly managed experience, both in terms of the on-ground staff service and the systems in place by upper management. Very disappointing. Did not expect much from the food since it was a quick serve cafe charging at about $15 per dish. But I wouldn't pay more than $7 for them. Bagel could have been easily elevated with cheap ingredients and easy to prepare like dill or capers. I wouldn't charge $15 for a frozen bagel from central kitchen like Gan Teck Kar with the packed salmon and cream cheese with no efforts of menu ideation. Quiche flavour was disappointing and texture was rubbery and chunky.

Expensive for what we got. A few items not available, strange when your own food section next to your cafe had the ingredients to make the unavailable items. Alcohol beverages were good value soft drinks expensive. Service was good and the two young ladies were busy but handled the crowd well. Didn’t get their names but hope they get some king of recognition. Was there 12 noon Thursday 17th April 2025. A manager on site would have provided much needed help and may have been able to fix the missing items situation.
