Definitely recommend to reserve a table before dining as the queue gets really long once it opens. Great place with excellent found made on the spot and served fresh and crispy! Love the tempura, it is so crispy and light without being heavy and totally recommend everyone who comes to eat to order a plate! The agedashi tofu was also salty, smooth and piping hot at first making it savoury and flavourful. The soft shell crab, the california roll, the making and the kaisen don was the best I ever tasted with great nigita rice and salty shavings. No words could describe how good the food was.

The wait time for two bowls of chirashi was at least 30 minutes, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. That said, the food was pretty good and reasonably priced. I ordered the Salmon Don and Kaisen Don—both were fresh and satisfying. Service was average, and the small seating area isn’t the most comfortable, especially with weak air-conditioning. Still, I’d definitely come back for the food. Just manage your expectations on everything else.

Something like izakaya style concept. A shop unit eateries that can only host around 20 pax plus minus. Mostly by reservation, walk in merely by luck and we got it on 2nd visit! Seems like a family business of 3. Mother server, father and son in charge of kitchen. Thou waiting time maybe a little longer but both of them didn’t stop at all during the opening hours. Like the salmon mentai roll very much. very unique toppings that goes well with the sushi. Chawanmushi is smooth like tofu but price a little steep for it.

Such a nice little Japanese place with good quality food and reasonable pricing! The ebi tempura, prawn toast, salmon belly sashimi and aburi salmon are must-tries 💖 The chawanmushi, scallop hot plate and aburi engawa are good too! There aren’t many seats though so expect to q, however they also have a WhatsApp reservation option.

Pleasant experience overall. The space is izakaya style with 3-4 tables and 5-6 counter seats. But I went right after peak lunch hour and it wasn’t crowded. I ordered the premium sushi rice that was excellent. Could see the chef meticulously preparing each pieces. Definitely not a place to bring large parties. Good for solo lunches or a party of 4 max. Will come back!

I have been coming here for almost 2 years. Food is great and service is good. But for a small restaurant and its limited seats.. one really have to call in advance to book their seats and dont bother waiting because who will rush over a nice Japanese meal. So to those who waited or to those were told its full even when it seems empty, it is because of the grace of the owner to allow advance booking, otherwise we were all be disappointed or queuing wasting precious time. Therefore book your table early and enjoy your time there. Looking forward to my visit this week again..

Age Ya Restaurant stands out as one of the finest Japanese dining experiences, offering top-tier quality and the freshest ingredients. From meticulously prepared sushi to expertly grilled dishes, every bite reflects the chef’s dedication to authenticity and excellence. The service is equally impressive—staff members are warm, attentive, and always willing to accommodate special requests, ensuring a personalized and memorable dining experience. One minor downside is the high demand for reservations; securing a table often requires booking at least a month in advance. However, this is a testament to the restaurant’s popularity and the exceptional dining experience it provides. For lovers of Japanese cuisine, Age Ya is an absolute must-visit. The quality of the food easily rivals that of Michelin-starred establishments and the most prestigious fine dining restaurants. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or a first-time visitor, this is a culinary journey worth experiencing at least once. Highly recommended.

Hana Bara Don would be the star dish. Fresh, melts in mouth fish. Tempura Mori, Agedashi Tofu, Chawanmushi and wrapped sushi are great too. Reservation highly recommended or you’ll be turn away or be prepared to wait for at least an hour as it’s a small joint. Food are prepared upon order. Made reservation via Instagram.

This is truly a hidden gem with 2 chefs behind the scene and a lady fronting as server and cashier. We had two types of sashimi dons, century egg tofu (I forgot the photo!) and otoro sushi. All in all, damage is $110. No GST but inclusive of 10% service charge. The food is so good! Sashimi is very fresh and the century egg tofu is truly amazing. Please be prepared to wait but it’s worth it! Do whatsapp in advance to make reservations as I have seen more than 5 groups of people walked in and left disappointed.

very unique and diverse range of stuffs from nostalgic to cult, independent labels…it’s like a shop of curiosities & beyond in the fashion world and then some more. The Corner Shop has been around since 2008…this says a lot about this quaint place. kudos to owner; Jebson, for all the discerningly curated items in his collection…anyone looking for unique pieces will never be disappointed! special mention to Mathilda, for her super amazing customer support…her warm welcoming attitude is very much appreciated and her service is nothing short of stellar! the corner shop should be marked on the singapore map as a must visit; for locals and tourists alike…words can only describe so much and nothing beats the actual experience! never a dull moment here…5-star experience always! cheers, the bearded gentleman anthony lam 🎅🏾🙏🏾
