We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Misato! The food was incredibly delicious — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. A special highlight of the evening was when they surprised us by singing a birthday song — such a thoughtful and personal touch that made the celebration even more memorable. It's rare to find a place that gets both the food and atmosphere so right. Highly recommend Misato for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a heartfelt dining experience!

Ordered a humble oyakodon on a Friday afternoon. Entire experience was faultless start to end. Service staff hospitable and well trained reminds me of ryokan staff. Impeccable attention to detail - at first I thought that the heart shaped roe seemed out of place in their otherwise dressed to impress menu but my guess is they still want the oyakodon to feel like a familiar home made comfort food? Make no mistake of course it tasted much better than anything I could ever make myself. Compared to the many choc a bloc Japanese restaurants that serve a tasteless chunk of chicken omelette this one was well seasoned. All of their dishes are aesthetically presented in beautiful tableware and this extends to even their wet napkin?!! Delivers way more value compared to other similarly priced competitors. Wish they had more branches! And more beef options not everyday is a 70 dollar A5 day :P

Legit, tasty Japanese cuisine at reasonable price. Highly recommend the oyakodon. Drinks came with appetizer which was a nice surprise.

Cosy restaurant with a welcoming ambience tucked away in the corner of CentrePoint. Decided to have the warabi mochi as I have a penchant for sweets and desserts. It's irresistibly smooth and has a soft and jelly-like texture that melts delicately on the tongue with a cool, refreshing sweetness. Dusted with nutty, aromatic soybean, black sesame and matcha, and served with a small pot of rich black honey syrup, each bite is most enjoyable. Add the honey syrup as per your own preference, or none at all. I liked mine without the syrup but tried it with the matcha anyway, and it paired perfectly together. So if you're not a fan of bitter matcha, thankfully I am, you have a mini pot full of honey syrup at your disposal to drizzle on the mochi. Serving staff was attentive and took a moment to make a suggestion to me as to how the different flavors of the warabi mochi were to be enjoyed in succession after serving it. I appreciate the additional care and attention to ensure I have a good dining experience though I only had one item. ===updated Dec 2025=== I have been coming back regularly to MISATO to try the different items available on the menu. I truly enjoyed the food that was prepared with care and attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients and the balance of flavors made the meal both satisfying and memorable. The presentation stood out. The choice of serving ware complemented the food beautifully, and the thoughtful plating added an extra level of appreciation before the first bite was even taken. Some of my must-haves include the Warabi Mochi, Matcha Bavarois and Goma Bavarois. As whimsical as it seems, I thoroughly enjoyed giving each pudding a good wobble before tucking into them. Who says one can’t play with their food? Each spoonful was smooth and silky, melting effortlessly on the tongue. The soft, trembling texture made every bite feel playful yet indulgent, turning a simple dessert into a comforting and deeply satisfying treat. Personally, I love both matcha and goma so it’s hard to choose one over the other. I have been trying the different drinks and my favourite is the Matcha Ice Blended. I opted to have mine without the whipped cream. Its vibrant green color is inviting, hinting at the premium green tea powder. The flavour is smooth, balanced by the creaminess of the Hokkaido milk that softens matcha’s natural bitterness. The foam on top adds a light, velvety texture, making each sip feel soothing and indulgent. The azuki beans add a natural sweetness that perfectly balances the earthy, slightly bitter flavour. I often prefer hot beverages, but this Matcha Ice Blended hits the spot for me as I savour each sip. Those I dined with shared that having it with whipped cream added more flavour and creaminess to theirs and was just as delectable. Some worthy mentions: Ebi Wasabi - The savory crunch and sweetness of the prawns paired with the heat of the wasabi was flavourful and irresistible. Curry Udon - Udon was springy and cooked to perfection. Paired with curry that was rich and thick, I highly recommend this. One can find bits of tender pork in the curry that was served with the udon. Also, the cheese and onsen egg elevates the flavour of the dish. Just to note, the curry is different from Tonkatsu Curry Set so do not mistake them to be the same. Seafood Kaminabe - My mum had this and she finished it, including the generous serving of Japanese rice. That tells a lot as my mum is more demanding, often not finishing her meal if she finds it too salty, or if she feels that it has MSG etc. Here, she just nodded, saying the seafood was so fresh the broth was sweet and tasty, and polished off her meal. Cha Soba - Do not underestimate this simple looking dish. Add in wasabi and green onions to the dipping sauce before enjoying the firm and chewy texture of the soba noodles. Ask for more wasabi and green onions if you’d enjoy a good kick. I know I did. There are many more items on the menu that deserves attention. I know I’m returning to MISATO again soon.

Late dinner on a week night hence we got a table quickly. Warm service and delicious food! A little disappointed that some items are sold out but that means we have more items to try next time. Highly recommended if you are around the area

The food is really nice and authentic. one of the orders came in a Japanese palace ornament thing . I’ve never seen a anything like such cool presentation before The crockery and things were really pretty. I find it affordable for our wallets if you wanna eat smth more high end delicious but yet in a more casual setting. Service staff all also very attentive.

Haven’t had such good, quality, authentic Japanese food in a while. The chawanmushi is one of the best I’ve had in Singapore. There were so many chunks of crab meat but what really impressed me was the big piece of chicken at the bottom that was actually seasoned and not thrown in just for the sake of it. The okonomiyaki was delicious and well seasoned. The sauces didn’t overpower the flavour of the dish and textures were just perfect. The kamameshi was flavoured very well too. My only gripe is that the rice was a lil soggy. The closing dish of red bean and toasted mochi.. never thought I’d see this outside of Japan. The dessert wasnt too sweet, and the red beans left whole in the soup provided another textural element too. Will definitely return!! Thank you for the great service too!

Went on a mid- week evening, and though it was almost full seating , thankfully there was no long queue. We had tonkatsu, ebi don, okonomiyaki and mochi based on popular reviews here and were indeed not disappointed. Food was delicious and fresh, and prices were fair for the quality and portion size. Service was good, kudos to Joan who was prompt and cheerful in attending to our needs. We enjoyed our evening here very much, and intend to return for more.

We had such a fantastic experience at Misato! The oyakodon was delicious, with a generous portion that left me fully satisfied. The highlight, though, was the chicken katsu—absolutely heavenly! The crumbs were perfectly golden and crispy. On top of that, the service was flawless—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our family can’t stop coming back here every time we’re in SG 😄

Very happy to see Misato still here and doing better than before, now with queues outside. We last came in 2017 and 2018; today we are surprised by the queue. glad to be here in time for the first seating. Food is as good as we remembered it - a feat to maintain the standard through the years. Plating and presentation is overall exquisite. Decor is similarly tasteful as before. Food wise: Cheese croquette highly recommended. Kid liked the yakitori set, my katsudon (pork with egg bowl) was solid. Hubby found the chicken katsu a bit dry, but the freshly ground roasted sesame and sauce helped. Too full for the desserts that we had before but going by the standard I’m sure they are still good. Ordered the Sesame pudding which was fantastic. Highly recommend that. All staff were very professional. Manager Joan was super friendly and nice to speak with. Suggest for you to decide in advance and order all the sides and mains together. We wanted to add one main and it was a 30min more wait because of all the orders. Reservations are possible but limited quantities, so call in advance, or plan to arrive early enough to be within the first seating. Loved that we came here unplanned and still had a very satisfying dinner.
