Service was better than expected. Four of us were given a table which was warm to sit after some time. We talked to the staff and the staff (Amber) decided to help us switch our place to a table next to the blowing fan- excellent service - we didn’t expect that at all. There are cooked food besides the food for steamboat. Food choices not a lot but good enough. The fried salmon fin and dessert (yam) were my favourite. The place is spacious and comfortable for a gathering.

Review: Imperial Broth Hotpot – A Symphony of Simmering Broths Overall Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) The Vibe: ★★★★☆ Walking into Imperial Broth, you're immediately enveloped by a warm, energetic atmosphere. The space is modern and clean, with elegant dark wood accents and traditional Chinese motifs subtly integrated into the design. The centerpiece of each table is, of course, the built-in induction stove. It's spacious enough for groups, with a divider to create two or four broths in one pot—a must for any hotpot place. The noise level is a happy, communal hum of conversation and the gentle bubbling of pots, making it perfect for a lively friends' night out or a family celebration. The Star of the Show: The Broth ★★★★★ This is where Imperial Broth truly shines. They offer a wide selection of soup bases, but two are absolute standouts: 1. Spicy Sichuan Mala Broth: This is the real deal. It’s not just about heat; it's about complexity. The broth is deep red, filled with Sichuan peppercorns that provide that signature "mala" (numbing and spicy) sensation, dried chilies, and aromatic spices. It’s intensely flavorful and perfect for those who love a challenge. 2. Pork Bone & Milky Broth: The perfect yin to the mala's yang. This broth is rich, creamy, and deeply savory. It’s soothing, packed with umami, and ideal for cooking delicate ingredients like tofu and seafood without overpowering them. The split pot allows you to have both, catering to every palate at the table. The Ingredients: Quality & Variety ★★★★☆ The menu is extensive, almost overwhelming in the best way possible. Everything is presented beautifully, often arriving on elegant platters. · Meats: The premium sliced beef and lamb are paper-thin, marbled beautifully, and cook in mere seconds. They are melt-in-your-mouth tender. The platter of assorted meatballs (cuttlefish, beef, shrimp) are bouncy and full of flavor. · Seafood: The fresh shrimp and scallops were sweet and succulent. The squid was particularly fresh and didn't toughen up too much. · Vegetables & Tofu: The vegetable selection is crisp and fresh. The enoki mushrooms, cabbage, and watercress are must-haves for absorbing the broths. The fried tofu puffs are essential—they act like little flavor sponges. · Other Highlights: The homemade hand-pulled noodles are a fantastic way to end the meal, and the dumplings are generously stuffed. The Sauce Bar ★★★★★ A hallmark of a great hotpot restaurant is its sauce bar, and Imperial Broth's is exceptional. It's a sprawling, impeccably clean station with dozens of condiments: from classic sesame sauce and sha cha sauce to minced garlic, cilantro, scallions, chili oil, soy sauce, and more. Crafting your perfect dipping sauce is an art form here and half the fun. Service: ★★★★☆ Service is attentive and efficient. Staff are knowledgeable and happy to explain dishes or cooking times for newcomers. They are quick to refill broths and water and change plates. The only very minor drawback was a short wait for the bill during a peak hour rush. Value for Money: ★★★★☆ Imperial Broth is not a budget eatery; it's a premium experience. The quality of the ingredients justifies the price point. You are paying for top-tier meats, a luxurious environment, and an unforgettable dining adventure. Portions are generous, and it's best enjoyed family-style to get the most variety. Expect to spend a moderate to high amount per person. Perfect for: Group dinners, celebrating special occasions, adventurous eaters, and anyone craving a deeply satisfying and interactive meal. Pro Tip: Come hungry, and don't be afraid to mix and match sauces at the sauce bar. Also, definitely order the fried mantou (buns) to dip in your condensed milk dessert or even a rich broth—it’s a game-changer

Really good. In the heart of Orchard you can't get this price (18.90 for adult lunch) anywhere. Plenty of veggies and meats for steamboat. And their cooked food was bomb too. The drinks only had 3 options but one tasted like Sjora Mango Peach. Most importantly the staff is super kind and friendly. The seating is spacious too.

First time patron this restaurant with family. The food are fairly priced. Lots of varieties, from cooked, raw to condiments. The environment is just nice for steamboat as the aircon just nice. I love the fried Korean chicken wings. Recommend for someone who looks for alternative of high priced steamboat.

The collagen soup and mala is really not bad, best that I've had from a buffet. Had the promo for 30sgd 2 pax. Very worth update: tried the dinner promo as well, but prefer lunch for the price

Affordable Korean hotpot buffet! Do note the choice selection is just average. The sides nothing special - fried chicken was dry, Korean pancake and sweet potato slices, fried mantou all very dry, japchae was decent. Tteobokki also ok. Meats available are the Chicken, beef slices, pork belly and pork slices. No seafood for lunch. Drinks are soup plum, black currant and ice water. Soup tasted nice but was super parched after the meal - no thanks to the Ajinomoto?

4.1/5 ⭐ Found some great value at GoroGoro Steamboat & Korean Buffet! At $29.90++ for a Friday dinner, I'd say this place is pretty worth it just for the sheer variety of soup bases, fresh ingredients, cooked food, and condiments. Everything is decent and enjoyable, even if nothing is super fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised by the dessert selection, which had everything from beancurd skin barley ginko nut and orh nee to white fungus peach gum and fresh fruits! Service was very good at the start too, with staff constantly helping us clear our plates. (Fair warning: the soup likely contains MSG as I did get quite thirsty afterward, even without drinking much of it.) What I'd Get Again -Korean Fried Chicken -Beef Roll -Pork Belly/Collar -Mussel -Octopus What I'd Avoid -Marinated beef (is marinated with baking soda so it is soft, but too much) -Pig Liver (a bit too thin and can spoil the soup base)
