Eat dry mala here, good taste good value for money. The “ma” and spice levels were just right, super satisfying without being overpowering. The rice was well-cooked and fluffy, perfect with the mala Free sauce station with so many fresh options to mix and match to your own liking Place was clean and comfortable, and service was smooth and friendly.🌶️🍲👏

Very tasty and reasonably priced esp with their new store discounts! Additional discounts if you show the flyer (get it from the hardworking auntie who's always outside The Cathay at lunchtime distributing flyers). My biggg bowl with pork and mushrooms was only $11 after discount. Good variety of ingredients with prawns, fish, pork, beef, mushrooms, several green veggies, though maybe could have more soy-based types like crispy tofu skin. Spiciness level is ok -- if you regularly eat mala then the 2nd level (zhong la) is just nice without overpowering the flavours. 1st level (xiao la) would have been way too mild for me but will be good for spicy noobs :P Sauce area could have more crispy or dry ingredients e.g. fried soy beans or fried garlic or chilli crisps. Service is pretty friendly. Food is cooked promptly. Premises are clean and tidy. Not much of a greasy smell. Can get slightly noisy when it's more crowded. Walked in at 12pm on a Thursday, had ample seats. But maybe it'll fill up faster once it gets more popular!

Absolutely love One Pot! Their Ma La Tang and Ma La Ban are packed with rich, bold flavors that keep me coming back. The broth is perfectly seasoned, and I really appreciate the wide selection of fresh ingredients—it's so fun to customize my bowl just the way I like it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely worth the hype! Tried 热辣滚烫 One Pot at The Cathay and it instantly became one of my favourite spots for a comforting and satisfying meal. The ingredients are fresh, the seasoning is super flavourful, and the stir-fried bowl I ordered was packed with fragrance, spice and tenderness. The sesame and chilli oil combo is chef’s kiss 🔥 What I love most is their well-organised sauce station — super clean, lots of choices (garlic, chilli, spring onion, sesame sauce, vinegar etc.), and everything tasted fresh. The place is bright, spacious and gives off a very casual, chill vibe. Great for eating with friends after work or school. Staff are friendly, service is fast, and the price is really affordable for the quality you get. No wonder they have such high ratings — totally deserved! Highly recommended! Will definitely come back again. 😋🔥

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super shiok mala hotpot spot! Tried 热辣滚烫 One Pot today and it was a great experience. The ingredients were very fresh, the soup base flavourful, and the variety was solid — from meats to veggies to all the classic hotpot favourites. The place is clean, comfortable, and the staff are friendly + fast in service. Pricing is also very reasonable for this area. If you’re near The Cathay and craving something warm and satisfying, this is definitely worth a visit. Will come back again!

Came in for my usual dollar coffee and found that they have a 20% off promo. Meal cost me a little over $6 with a latte. A steal for an establishment n the orchard shopping belt. The hotpot sauces are a unique perk.

We had the collagen soup with fried skewers. The soup was really good and they have a really good opening promo that is ongoing which is 30% for adults and 40% for students. This makes it one of the cheapest mala in town! Do come down and try if you have the time!

was really good stop for a soupy dinner. condiment station was quite well stocked to my surprise. and they offer fried items which really go well with the soup and the seasoning was just nice as well. would love to head back again for another outing
