Been a regular here for a while, and I have never ever been disappointed dining in there. This hidden gem is tucked away at the basement of Palais Renaissance, and to date, it ranks as my all-time favourite Japanese restaurant. Their set lunches provide good value without comprising on quality at various price points depending on what you feel like having while dinner is equally amazing with teppanyaki and a wide selection of a la carte items along with seasonal items directly from Japan. The owners, Mr Chi and Janice, with the latter also a master sake sommelier, along with their team, always deliver on a delightful dining experience and top-notch sake recommendations. Can't recommend this place enough.

Great supermarket - wide variety (internationally sourced), reasonable (economical) prices, and helpful staff - only downside were the Thai mangoes - they were the most tasteless mangoes I have ever tasted, but they were the only awful purchase in a large batch of groceries.

A good-sized supermarket located in the basement of The Cathay mall. It's very convenient for residents living at Mount Sophia; they can just buy their groceries, take the lift to level 6, and use the back exit as a shortcut to Adis Road!

Great selection of products, reasonable prices. Looking forward to visiting often!

THIS STORE SCAMS CUSTOMERS! BEWARE Went in for bottled water. Grabbed some from the fridge, headed to self-checkout, and was suddenly told I owed an extra 15 cents per bottle for "chilled drinks." The staff member actually touched my bottles to check if they were cold. There was no clearly visible signage on or near the fridge indicating any surcharge for chilled items. And I was at the fridge looking at which drinks to get for some time. Instead, you only find out at checkout, when you're already committed and it's awkward to walk back and swap them out. This SCAM by Sheng Siong is obviously deliberately designed to pressure customers into just paying rather than causing a scene. Also, 15 cents on a 30-cent bottle of water is a 50% markup just for refrigeration. In 2025. When virtually every other retailer in Singapore includes chilling as a basic courtesy! You're charging a premium for chilling water! If it wasn't chilled I wouldn't even buy it to begin with! And the way it is done is such a blatant SCAM! Sheng Siong is obviously a retailer with no morals, taking advantage of anyone unlucky enough to bother shopping there! They have lost a customer for life, with such repulsive, disgusting scam and fraudulent behaviour

At basement level. At most this is a Sheng Siong express. 10x bigger than a normal 7-11, but it's like the size of the veg and fruits area at my neighbourhood Sheng Siong section. Quite sad as we travelled down expecting a flagship Sheng Siong. First SS in Orchard but really too too tiny. Maybe can take over Hao at Orchard, or buy over an area. Do it like Mustafa, Sheng Siong Travel, Sheng Siong Sports, Sheng Siong Electronics, Sheng Siong Steamboat. Haha Good are well displayed. Tight aisle... squeeze. Left within 10 mins and zero photos. 老板, Pls open a wow Sheng Siong in Orchard.

First time to a Sheng Siong supermarket. The shopping aisles are quite tiny and cramped compared to NTUC Fairprice and Cold Storage. Unsure if it's this branch or if it's Sheng Siong style.

So happy to finally have a Sheng Siong here! The produce is always fresh and prices are reasonable. Such a great addition to the neighbourhood!

Oh my god, finally sheng siong open in downtown. The staffs were extremely helpful. One of the lady was helping me find the item I'm looking for. Not so crowded and very clean.
