Crystal Jade Palace at Takashimaya is a well-established destination for upscale Cantonese dining in Orchard Road, combining refined cuisine with an elegant, contemporary setting. The restaurant underwent a major renovation that brightened the interiors, creating a more open and welcoming ambience while retaining a sense of sophistication. Known for its extensive menu, it features classic Cantonese favourites such as delicate dim sum, double-boiled soups, roast meats, claypot specialties, and a wide range of seafood dishes. Seasonal menus and festive offerings, such as rice dumplings or celebratory set menus, further add variety for returning diners. Guests often commend the quality and flavour of signature dishes, particularly the crisp roast meats and comforting soups, which showcase careful preparation and premium ingredients. Service is usually polished and professional, though some diners note occasional lapses during peak periods. Prices are on the higher side, which is expected for its prime location and refined dining style, but portions can sometimes feel modest relative to the cost. Despite this, Crystal Jade Palace remains a reliable choice for family gatherings, business entertaining, or special occasions, offering consistency, tradition, and an elevated experience that has kept it popular among both locals and visitors over the years.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to Crystal Jade at Takashimaya for dim sum and had such a wonderful experience! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Highlights from our order: • Steamed Siew Mai – juicy and perfectly seasoned. • Fried Prawn Roll – crispy on the outside, packed with sweet prawn inside. • Shrimp Paste Wings – fragrant and so tasty. • Chicken & Duck Congee – smooth, comforting, and well-balanced. • And my personal favorite: the Steamed Carrot Cake – soft, savory, and simply delicious! The entire dim sum spread was incredibly satisfying, and the service crew were friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. We left happy and full, and will definitely be visiting again for another dim sum treat!

It has been a long time since I visited Crystal Palace. Service from Connie Lee and Wang Yan was great and friendly. We had a lovely lunch with laughter. Hard to come by staff making the extra effort to make customer comfortable. Food was also great as usual. Really liked the crispy fried eggplant.

Congee was the winner in our visit. Skip the brisket noodle; was a bit dry the day. Har gow shrimp was good but just fell apart.

This is one restaurant where the standard and quality of food is well maintained over the years. We went there for dinner, attracted by its SG60 promotion menu. We ordered - Palace Signature Starters, Hong Kong Kai Lan, Fish Maw Soup, Flower Crab served in 2 ways, Teochew Taro Paste Orh Nee and Superior Birds Nest Soup in Almond Cream. The servings are just nice for 2 people. I enjoyed their starters plate with 4 different varieties and HK Kai Lan. The dishes are flavourful and not too oily nor too salty. I supposed we went there early when not all tables are filled yet, the dishes we ordered come fast and service is impeccable. Worth a visit again. $$$

Food is bad. Chicken has no taste and was so small for an extravagant price. They even forgot to give us our abalone for our 'Buddha jumps the wall' soup! Called over and they simply said if we order again at their place then they will give us what we paid for - are you kidding? It was SGD68 and we paid for it!!! Too expensive and not worth it. Spent SGD400+ for low quality food (4pax). Don't deserve your Michelin star.

We walked in and were lucky to get a table. We had the usual range of dim sum and were very very satisfied! My favourite is always siew mai. The porridge was smooth, xo carrot cake was different from other restaurants and xo pan fried rice roll was really nice.

Disappointed. Was buying my friends dinner. They are foreigners. Serving is very slow. And the person told us watermelon with lime very nice. It's super sour. All the guests could not drink it. Recommended very expensive dishes and we waited very long for our meals. Never coming back again as guests were hungry and no one was available to even take bowls for us. My guest has to help himself. If there is zero for service I will give 0. And paid for an expensive meal with utterly poor service. Bill for four pax was more than $300. And we only ordered 5 dishes. Oh yah staff did not even clean her hands after clearing table next to us. Terrible failure in hygiene. If not for the fact that I am dining with foreigners I will lodge a complaint on the spot. To me this restaurant has failed terribly.

Strong 4 stars. Good place for family dining. Both dim sum and dishes were great. Not overly priced as well. Would recommend the Chao Mian!

I visited here tonight to celebrate birthdays with my October borne colleagues. The food here is delicious! The service is excellent & the staff are both attentive & professional. We also ❤️ the birthday display that came out with the addition of longevity buns! We have a wonderful & enjoyable dinner!
