Food was ok. Cheap for SG. But service KO. I'm regular here because of the price, but often you need to call them to take order. Otherwise, depend on your luck if they see u. Once i tried to test to see how long until they realize you are there, end up i still need to call them as they seem dont bother u. Improve la sikit boss..

Just opposite our service apartment there’s this 24-hour Indian Muslim restaurant (and next to it a Chinese Sichuan stall) and there were cars parked all over the street with people eating supper al fresco. I just miss this late-night dining ambiance in S.E. Asia, so happy to be able to take away roti prata for the family at midnight. The fish curry for the prata was spicy and tasty and the mutton soup was delicate and so yummy my child who no longer eats mutton actually drank the soup. The staff was very generous with the curry, the prices were quite ok for its location in Orchard road.

Came here twice, for early dinner and breakfast. They serve Indian-Melayu-Indonesian halal food with a good range of menu. In frame I tried nasi paprik (~$7) and nasi merah (same). Both are quite spicy, big portion. In the morning they only served Nasi Uduk (~$9) for breakfast menu. The sambal is good, pedas manis/sweet and spicy. The drink is cheap also. Around $1-3. They open 24 hrs so at night so many people come after they went from the club around the building. Minus: good range of food but not sure of the dish availability, and they dont accept cards. Only cash and PayNow.

Love the peanut tofu. Highly recommend. The chef starter was good too. The ingredients were fresh.

Finally visited ShinnSato Okinawa Cuisine, an authentic Japanese restaurant serving up Okinawan food! Been wanting to check out this place at Orchard Plaza for a while. This was my first time trying sea grapes AND Otoshi (this compulsory snack). Sea Grapes うみぶどう The sea grapes have a wonderful texture and pop in your mouth like tobikko! It tastes like the sea and has a clean flavour. You dip it in ponzu sauce. An acquired taste that I highly recommend trying! Do take note that it is high in iodine. Chef's Starter お通し The Chef's Starter is a compulsory appetiser. I think it was $8, consisting of uni and ikura on tofu. I found it hard to eat 'cos of the strong flavours involved, it reminded me of my probiotic pills and had a medicinal flavour somehow. But other people might appreciate this dish more than me. 5 types of sashimi 刺身5種盛り ($58) Super fresh, thick slabs of sashimi, reasonably priced! Came served with fresh purple and green seaweed, shiso leaves and purple shiso microgreens. Fish is delivered three times a week. Loved it! No gatekeeping 😌 I tried to ask the waitress what the fish were but I think her English isn't very fluent so she didn't really want to help me ask the chef to identify the fish 😅 Anyway, my guess: Hamachi or Kanpachi (Japanese Amberjack), some type of Tai or Madai (Japanese Sea Bream), Chutoro (Medium Fatty Tuna), Hirame (Flounder), and Salmon. Grilled Okinawa Golden Sea Bream Very delicious! A highlight of the meal. It had a slight smokey flavour. Served with a grilled shishito pepper and grilled white corn 😍 I'm tempted now to try to grow my own Japanese corn. California Roll Not bad, nice (and rare) to see Japanese-like sushi (that is easy for non-Japanese people to appreciate) available at an authentic Japanese eatery (some Japanese food places refuse to serve California Roll because it's not considered authentic Japanese food). Blue Salt Ice Cream 青塩アイス Tasted exactly like how I imagined it would taste. Rich, milky and salty. I love the butteriness and sweet-salty flavour profile of the ice cream. Strawberry Mochi いちごもち A treat from our Japanese chef! What a great experience to end our dinner. This restaurant doesn't charge GST so prices are reasonable. Can't wait to visit again.

Don’t be fooled by the decor of this place - it looks like a very typical eatery, but the quality and taste of the food is outstanding! We tried so many dishes and every one of them were delicious - the mentaiko dashi tamagoyaki was amazing, with a generous egg to mentaiko ratio of 50%, and oh so soft - we ordered two orders. Another one that we repeat ordered was the snow crab cream croquette - so nicelu fried with delicate delish crab cream inside. The okinawa vegetable and sakura prawn kakiage was very flavorful as well. The gindara miso was perfectly cooked with, flakey with a nice miso taste. Their vinegared mozuku seaweed was very well done ( I love a good mozuku) and even their tako wasabi (usually not a fan of the cooked tako version) was so well done - octopus was tender and flavorful. We also had the hokkaido white corn tempura - crowd’s favorite. And they also offer sashimi which was actually very fresh and decent. Their otoshi ($8) was one of the most luxurious ones (and tastiest) ever - uni and ikura over simmered daikon and japanese greens. This place does not charge gst, so the pricing is very reasonable. The drinks can be a bit stronger but the waitress was amenable to making it stronger by request. Definitely a place to be back!

The Okinawan dishes are meant for sharing, with unique flavours like the bitter gourd and braised pork. The chef prepares the food alone. We went on a weekday evening, it was not crowded. Good place for a dinner and drinks with friends.

The food was amazing. Service was also great. Went on a Friday evening when the head chef was away, but the food available for order was still amazing. The service staff took good care of us in recommending food and ensure our tea was never empty.

we were missing okinawan food after our okinawa trip so we decided to try this place after seeing the reviews, they were also really flexible with reservation changes (we changed our dates & timing quite a few times) and all was good they have a wide range of okinawan cuisine and it’s really authentic. we had the jimami tofu, rafute, unibudo, soki soba, taco rice, grilled yellowtail & blue salt ice cream. not comparable but still pretty good. service was great as well. worth checking out if you’re new to okinawan cuisine!
