I had an unforgettable dining experience with Chef Doi. Sitting at the bar was a highlight on its own - you get a front-row seat to watch him in action, fully focused and completely immersed in crafting each dish. His attention to detail is incredible, and you can really feel the pride and passion he puts into every plate. Each course was beautifully executed, but what stood out the most was Chef Doi's calm intensity and commitment to giving his absolute best. It made the meal not just delicious, but genuinely engaging and memorable. A truly interesting and intimate dining experience highly recommended for anyone who appreciates both exceptional food and the artistry behind it.

Chef Yasunori Doi is a great chef who clearly has high expectations about his work, exemplified by the amount of effort he puts into every dish, as well as the neatness of his kitchen. He was very sincere and friendly throughout our dinner service today, and I felt inspired by his work ethics. The food was also excellent so it’s amazing what a one-man show can achieve. Would highly recommend a trip here! :)

Truly enjoyed dinner by Chef Doi. All the dishes were great, exquisite balance in taste. My favourites were the Gazpacho, wagyu steak with red wine & green pepper sauce (something unique!) Chef has his own modus operandi, one man show and meticulous in his job. Will return again for another season menu.

Such a lovely dinner here spent with my partner. Food’s great and it was fascinating to watch Chef Doi preparing each dish with such detail and care. He was also very welcoming and friendly despite some of the negative reviews here which we did not face at all and he also did acknowledge on his ‘black face’ reputation hahaha. We especially loved the savory wasabi onion ice cream which was so unique with the snow crab bits in the middle. Sesame focaccia was yummy and we got to take away the leftover bread as well thankfully. We’ll be back to try the curry rice next time as we were too stuffed from the classic course 👍🏻

Excellent. One of the few restaurants (perhaps only one) in Singapore I'd recommend unconditionally. French cuisine, made with high quality ingredients paired with a great culinary touch. Chef (yes, singular) is Japanese, and often incorporates ingredients from Japan without compromising the final product. Counter seat dining makes it a uniquely fun experience, being able to see the chef at work. Chef, who doubles as waitstaff, has always been warm and approachable. Note that the menu is seasonal. Always check their Instagram page for the latest. Both lunches and dinners alike are wonderful. Would suggest giving the weekend lunch options a shot first if hesitant (they're at a lower price point).

Japanese-European fusion in an intimate setting. Chef Yasunori Doi runs this place like clockwork. Respect the chef! Come on time for your reservation. Leave your bag(s) away from the counter! Once you’re comfortable with the ground rules, the experience is ineffable. The bread is warm, crusty and paired with stracciatella and fine accoutrements. The dishes are well thought out umami bombs. think Gazpacho with gelato and edamame, sous vide bonito with onion-mustard. Save space for the curry rice! Behind his austere face, Chef Yasunori warms up with the night. He is a wine/sake/ spirits nerd- serving every beverage in the CORRECT glass or cup. Bring your own bottle at a corkage of $60++ desserts are the bomb. $180+ per pax for the premium Omakase and drink(s).

Lovely food with unique flavours based on seasonal ingredients, fantastic homemade sourdough, focaccia and brioche, quiet atmosphere and specially imported drinks personally selected by the chef. Favourites this time were the bread (as always), white peach espuma with onion ice cream, hamo and lobster mousse with white sausage and the matcha yokan w. ginger & cinnamon ice cream! Always fun to visit :)
