Sagye Korean Pot Rice is absolutely delicious and easily my favourite Korean restaurant in Singapore. Even though the queue system requires booking via QR code and I don’t have a Singapore phone number, the staff were incredibly helpful and assisted me patiently until everything was sorted. Their service truly made the experience smooth and welcoming. The beef pot rice was amazing — flavourful and perfectly cooked, and the sauce for mixing with the rice was so good it elevated the whole dish. The seafood pancake is a must-try as well, crispy on the outside and packed with generous ingredients. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and the banchan can be refilled anytime, which is a big plus. A wonderful dining experience overall. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very appetizing Korean food and prices are reasonable. Restaurant was very packed during lunch time but managed to get a table. Will visit again to try other dishes .

TL;DR: Food’s fire—from appetizers to soup to mains and sides. The queue and wait? Not so much. Food 🍱 👍🏻 Loved the 4 appetizers, especially the beansprout—not sure why, but the bean end just hits different. 👍🏻 Complimentary seaweed soup was solid. 👍🏻 Cheese egg was fluffy and not burnt (bonus points for the crispy bits on the bowl’s edge—yum). 👍🏻 Spicy beef soup wasn’t crazy spicy, but the warmth made it feel hotter—portion’s big, so it’s perfect for 2 to share. 🫳🏻 Herbal chicken soup was mid—the soup itself was great, but the chicken was bland, just plain meat. Service 🛎️ 👍🏻 Staff were accommodating—from seating requests to letting us cancel an item that hadn’t started cooking. 👍🏻 Fast with water refills. 👍🏻 Gave us an extra round of appetizers when we asked, even though the place was packed. 👍🏻 Refilled soup on special request—love the service. Atmosphere 🧊 🫳🏻 Not vibing with the pink pixelated sakura ceiling animation—way too bright. 🫳🏻 The TV looping K-pop videos was kinda distracting—not the chillest vibe. Overall: Great food, thoughtful service, and enough space for a big group (yes, even 12 people side by side!). Just gotta power through the wait and visuals.

We enjoyed the complimentary barley tea, banchan (side dishes), and soup. The portion size was generous and the food was served piping hot. I highly recommend the scallop sotbap as it came with a variety of sides like tobiko and ikura, whereas you are limited to just eel in the eel sotbap. My only disappointment is that we weren’t able to enjoy sotbap the traditional way — ie. removing the rice and toppings from the bowl and pouring the tea/soup in — as the soup was served way before our rice bowls arrived (so the soup was already cold) and the waiter removed the rice pot lids from the table upon serving.

We ordered the Pork and Beef Short Rib Sotbab based on popular recommendations—and they definitely lived up to the hype. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful! We’re already looking forward to trying more dishes from the menu next time. I arrived around 6:15 PM on a Friday and was seated quite quickly, likely thanks to the rainy weather. The crowd started to build up from around 6:45 PM onwards.

Chanced upon this restaurant, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and its portion. The lunch menu was not as extensive as the dinner’s but it really hit that sweet spot of having a wholesome and heartwarming meal, the kind of feeling you get when your hunger is satisfied by your most favourite food; It doesn’t need to be fancy or expensive, it just needs to warm the bottom-most of ur tummy. The experience was further accelerated by the good service from Ajie (hope I got the name right) and Simon. They were very attentive and helpful. Will definitely be going back again. Thank you Sagye team.

We ordered their scallops and beef short ribs rice bowl with kimchi stew on the side. Every mouthful was packed with flavor, the scallops were fresh, the beef was soft and tender. The kimichi stew was authentic. Every dish exceeded our expectations. Service was good - We arrived at 7pm on a Friday and were 7th in line but we were seated in less than 20 minutes. We will be back!

Flavours were right on the spot. Crunch and softness too. Banchan quite typical - had nicer one elsewhere. The shop is a mix of olden Korean house with a touch of modern japan. There were like 5 pple at the counter. Somehow they can’t hear me when walk past me when I called out for a refill of one banchan.

They offer many different choices of Korean iron pot rice, such as pork, beef, and seafood. I tried a few and liked all of them. They also provide free side dishes and seaweed soup. Points to deduct: 1. The seaweed soup is one free bowl with no refill, and the bowl is the same size whether it is for a four person table or a single diner. Even a four person table cannot get a refill. The cost of the soup is very low, so this policy feels unnecessary. They could offer two bowls for a four person table or simply allow refills to appear more generous. Especially when the food itself is not cheap. 2. The fried chicken is really not tasty.

We came here on a Friday evening and we were lucky to be able to get a table almost immediately. They don't accept reservations so you must join the queue. I don't think it is suitable for large groups, 4-6 would be fine. We ordered 2 of the Korean Pot Rice: one with the wagyu beef, one with the scallops. I enjoyed the scallops more. The waygyu beef was a bit too cooked for my liking. It was also a bit expensive. I probably won't recommend ordering the BBQ set. Not that it is bad, but you don't get to BBQ the meat yourself, an experience some people might find important to have. Like many other Korean restaurants, this place plays music / music videos on a huge TV. Try not to sit near the TV, the speakers are a bit loud. Cashless payment accepted. Not super wheelchair friendly I'd say, the restaurant is quite packed.
