Cheaper prices , but don't expect to find trendy shoes.

SUMMARY Do NOT go to Shoe Mo for anything. Trust the reviews. I went to Shoe Mo to unyellow the soles of my sneakers. Despite reading the poor reviews, I thought I'd give them a chance. Because, how bad could it be? And boy was I in for my worst retail experience in 2022. POOR QUALITY - I first shared a picture of my sneakers with Shoe Mo to ask if they would be able to unyellow it. And they confidently replied that they would be able to do so. - But the end result was far from my expectations - Attached are pictures of my shoes AFTER the cleaning/unyellowing NO PRICE TRANSPARENCY - On WhatsApp, I was informed that the unyellowing services would be $30 per pair of shoes - At the store, they said it was $40 - I can't believe I paid $40 for this POOR SERVICE - I made an appointment with Shoe Mo and arrived on time for the appointment - After waiting for 30mins and making repeated attempts to contact them, they finally replied to say that they are sick and that the shop is closed - They didn't event bother to inform me about it and made me travel all the way to Far East Plaza for it LOW RESPONSIVENESS WITH PROBLEMS - When I got back my shoes in October 2022, I told them I was not satisfied with the results. - They replied saying that they would get back. - But till today, Dec 2022, there hasn't been any response. - They are quick to reply when making a sale, but don't even bother replying when it comes to customer service or rectifying problems. What a disaster! Please save yourself from the heartache and avoid doing anything with Shoe Mo.

Gonna be writing a totally honest & objective review about my experiences with Shoemo here. Visited their outlet on 2 Aug, with 2 pairs of sneakers for cleaning. Asked the staff how long the process would take, they told me within 5-7 working days, & I'd be updated via email or SMS. By 13 Aug (11 days later), there were still no updates, so I contacted them to check, but only got a reply 2 days later. Headed to the store on 16 Aug (2 weeks later, not 5-7 days as promised) to collect both pairs. Saw that the first pair was decently clean so kudos to the team there. == Here's where it goes downhill. I found that the iconic Stan Smiths logo on my second pair's tongue had been scrapped off & there were bleeding stains on the material. The staff nonchalantly dismissed that "it was like this when we received it" which I firmly refuted. Manager then quite rudely explained that this bleeding "cannot be helped". My point here is, if the staff knew that such bleeding was inevitable then why didn't they highlight this to customers beforehand? If I'd known there was even a small chance that it would bleed, I wouldn't have risked sending them in or would've requested for them not to wash that area instead. I've washed this pair for the past 3 years & nothing like this has ever happened before. Anyway since the damage was already done, the manager begrudgingly asked me to give them another 3-5 days to see what they could do to clean up the mess. == 21 Aug (5 days later); asked for status updates, only got a reply at 9pm saying that they'd update me the next day, but they never did. Had to ask them again on 23 Aug, and they replied saying that they were still trying to fix it, & to give them ANOTHER 5-7 days to do so. Incredibly disappointed by their service at this point, but thought I'd give them ANOTHER chance to redeem themselves, but kindly requested for the sneakers to be prioritised (the least they could do since it was already being delayed for 3 weeks), but my request was ignored (message seen, no reply). On 27 Aug (a whopping 11 days later), again asked for status updates; message seen, no reply. Got frustrated with waiting so I back to their shop to try to collect them on 30 Sep (28 days since they first started work on it), only to realise that... I had a made wasted trip. Staff told me that they HADN'T started working on it yet (14 days after they said that it'll be done in 3-5...), and told me to come back again in ANOTHER "3-5 days". So, FINALLY on 6 Sep (an amazing 30+ days since I dropping off my shoes at Shoemo), I finally collected them. End result; damage done was evidently irreversible, no refund was offered. Can't even buy a replacement nownbecause they're alr out of production. RIP. == Summary; Skills - Evidently, hit and miss, try at your own risk. Customer service - Poor, messages were ignored or they took ages to reply. Integrity - Promising customers that service can be delivered within 5-7 days would definitely be a selling point when deciding between other similar cleaning services. But if these deadlines can't be met, (not the only one w such experiences according to other FB reviews), don't deliberately mislead your customers by making empty promises that would ultimately leave them frustrated. All in all, I'm just sharing an honest but very disappointing and highly unpleasant experience with Shoemo for me personally, because I felt that I've been polite and patient throughout this entire ordeal but it wasn't reciprocated. While I'd like to caveat that this incident could've just been only a one-off experience that unfortunately happened to me, but upon reading more reviews on their social media pages, it seems like I'm not the only one with such negative experiences. Lesson learnt for me is to do more research before trying a product or service that I found online. And with that, I'd like to caution others to only patronise Shoemo (especially with anything limited edition) at your own risk. Thank You

The way they run the business is NOT professional AT ALL. I got my shoes cleaned and needed to pick them up, but last week they closed the shop the whole week without any notice through email or whatsapp. They just updated their business hours on Google When I visited there, the shop was closed. Okay fine, maybe I should have double checked Google before collecting my shoes. What's worse was this. Today, which is Monday, I checked their opening hours on Google before I go and it says the shop is opened from 12 to 18 so I went there before 12 and waited for more than 30 minutes. As you can see the photos, the shop was not opened. I whatsapped the CS and got no reply until now So I had to go back home again When can I collect my shoes?

[Attached photos are AFTER deep-cleaning] The service rendered was totally unacceptable! It’s daylight robbery. Upon collection, I was extremely disappointed. For such an expensive cleaning service, there was lint remaining from the last time I wore my socks still visible on the inner soles that I have to personally clean off. Many stains were not removed (I understand that the rubber parts cannot be de-yellowed and certain old stains can’t be removed but these should be communicated beforehand to manage our expectations). I’m certain that some stains could have been professionally removed but they were not. It screams lazy effort. My logo which was still partially visible before cleaning, was totally rubbed off. A bag is not provided and you’re supposed to bring your own shoe bag during collection which strikes me as strange and they didn’t even have spare plastic bags on hand for customers who wanted to do a last minute collection. Apart from that, I made 2 visits to the store before and it was closed even though it was listed as open on GMB. I’ve even called the number but it was not in use. When I went down for the third time and they were finally opened, the staff told me that it’s because they don’t have any staff working on that day so it was closed and it will be closed again on the following Sunday (they won’t update anywhere online so you have to try your luck if you plan on heading down). Service was really bad. The staff didn’t really want to serve me and just told me to make payment without suggesting the services required. I had to ask her to explain to me what’s the difference between standard and deep cleaning. Prices on the website are not updated so it’s $40 for the deep cleaning service instead of $30. Overall, don’t even consider engaging them for cleaning service. There are cheaper alternatives available and whatever they’re using to clean the shoes do not seem more effective than regular household detergent the first few times I did my own cleaning. Also, if your shoes are in a fragile condition, you are risking permanent damage because they are not gentle when handling them.

Came in for a repair and ended up getting a new sole which they stick together with this white tape that just peels off. Shoe worse now than before. Poor workmanship and wreckage of $900 pair of shoes

[updated on 25 may 2021]: Hi Jack, thank you for your reply. However, it's been 3 days since you said you would contact me personally about the refund, and I haven't heard back from you. Will this ever happen? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please read this before considering sending your shoes for ‘Deep Cleaning’ with Shoe Mo Please allow me to share my negative experience with you. I went to Marina square branch earlier today to collect my shoes and was appalled that the shop was closed. It turns out you guys had already shifted to Far East Plaza after getting in touch with your CS. The guy whom I contacted even mentioned that the shift had been communicated to me via text and email. However, the only email I have ever received from you guys was the one notifying that I could collect my shoes before Friday, before your shift to Far East Plaza. Hence, I made my way down on Thursday (a day before Friday mind you). Only to find out that you guys had already shifted! I did not receive any such notification on text either. Terrible miscommunication on your part which led to my wasted trip, time and efforts, especially during a turbulent time like this! I had to make an additional trip to Far East Plaza as a result of your negligence. Compiling on to this negative experience, I am appalled by the standards of service that you guys pride yourself with: 1) You were extremely late in getting my order sorted. I was promised to get my shoes deep-cleaned within 5-7 days, but you took over 12 days to get this done. 2) When I wrote in to enquiry about my shoe cleaning status, I only got a reply 6 days later which was clearly unacceptable. You guys do not reply to WhatsApp messages as well. If you guys were overwhelmed, I could understand. But don’t you have even the decency to at least inform your customers about the delay? 3) Your email yesterday on 19th May clearly indicates that I’m able to collect my shoes before Friday - which turned out to be the WRONG information when you had already shifted when I came today, 20th May. 4) Utterly disappointed with the standard of cleaning. Are you sure the shoes were deep-cleaned? Upon collection, I could clearly see stains there were yet to be wiped off and I had to even get your guy there to wipe it down once more on the stop. These stains could actually be removed! The condition of my white shoes were honestly not much different from when I had sent them in. When questioned about this, there was a whole lot of excuse given e.g. stains cannot be removed, shoes cannot be bleached, etc etc. This may be true, yet definitely not up to my expectations for a reputable establishment such as yourself. The shoe laces were still dirty when I received them as attached. Clearly, they were not even removed to be cleaned. Isn’t this quite basic? Are you sure your ‘Deep Cleaning’ service is as advertised. In an especially torrid time for businesses, I do hope that you can take this feedback seriously, and review your practises so as to not disappoint any more of your new / loyal customers. Thank you.

Update: Thank you Jack, Co-founder of Shoe Mo. Appreciate your prompt action after seeing my review. Thank you for going all the way out to liaise with your staff here in Sg to resolve the issue. Applause to your great effort. Hope that the team in Marina Square will review their service and strive for the company. ---------------------------------------------------------------------Visited Marina Square outlet. Firstly, the service is bad. Upon arrival, I have informed about my intention to pick up the shoes. However the staff replied saying "can you wait, I need your order number". As requested, I read out the number for him and he stopped me and said "wait (again!)". Hence, I waited while he placed the shoes on the desk and continued with his tablet. After waiting for quite some time, as there is no response for him, I removed my earpiece and looked at him. After a few seconds, he finally raised his head and told me that is it. I repeated if it means I can grab and go. He replied yes. Just to recap, the shoes were just there and he didn't ask me to check or offer to help to place into the shoe bag, which he just left on the table with the shoes. Secondly, the shoes has went for deep cleaning. However, after I stepped out of the shop to check. The laces and soles are not cleaned properly. Laces are still as black and soles are still with sands. The customer service and cleaning service were a total disappointment. Bad customer service that spoilt the day, followed by, a wasted trip. As the shoes has to be cleaned again and can only be picked up the next day. Hope that it will really be ready when I pick up tomorrow. PS: If you think that is bad enough, prior to sending the shoes over for cleaning, I have even WhatsApp their number to make appointment for the cleaning. Specifically asked if 2plus would be good, and they replied yes. But upon arrival at 2.20plus, the shop was locked and staff was out for an hr of break. I have no choice but to wait for an hr till they come back. Should have take it that it is a bad sign.
