It’s really upsetting, because without even eating the food, the service made me not want to ever come here again. There were 6 of us including me. When I first arrived at the store, i’ll admit it was packed but not very busy(to the point where there’s no space to move or every table is filled). So, with no staff to greet us at the front, we assumed that we are suppose to walk in and reserve the table we want. I came across a table with 4 people occupancy - this table was occupied but the customers were finishing soon and beside that table, was a table with 2 people occupancy- with no one at that table. So, i stood beside the 2 people table and waited as then, i would be able to get a table for 6. However, one of the servers (with pinkish purple dyed hair), told us that we had to wait for the table and had to queue outside of the store. Before walking away from the table I intended to sit at, i told her that the 4 people table would be done soon and I wanted to sit at that table. *note- she was carrying some empty dishes and probably wasn’t absorbing all the information at once. Then, she said okay and instructed us to wait outside. Once i stood outside, she asked us if we want to sit together or separately. My friends and I said together, because obviously we’re waiting for that table for 6. She then said okay, but there were another 2 customers waiting as well. So she then instructed those 2 to go in and sit at the table which I was waiting at originally. I saw it, I immediately went to her and told her that I was waiting for that table just now and questioned why she gave my table away? - Her reasoning was because she asked us if we wanted to sit together or separately. I debated with her after that saying that I was already waiting since I walked into the restaurant, she then continued by saying that she has already given the table to the customers and can’t ask them to get up anymore (when in fact, she could’ve just apologised, saying she messed up and it would’ve been fine OR at least ask the 2 customers which she just sat down to see if they are willing to give up the table that was just given to them. With that, my friends and I were very upset with the service and without even having to taste the food, just left the place. PS: At level 8 in Orchard Central, there’s a place called Shi Li Hot pot. - Better service and taste is good too. Price is amazing as well

Be prepared for some waiting time as seating is limited even during off peak hours. They offer a variety of ingredients and soup bases to choose from, catering to different preferences. Their signature is the collagen pork broth soup, which is rich and flavorful. While the broth is enjoyable, it can feel a bit too rich and thick toward the end of the meal. There is a 10% discount for your next visit upon making payment at the counter.

Food was okay, but the service really affected our experience. A staff member kept rushing us because they were closing and kept checking her watch, which made us feel uncomfortable. We understand closing time, but since we had already ordered and paid, we should’ve been allowed to finish our meal properly. If they couldn’t accommodate us, they shouldn’t have seated us in the first place.

This Mala Tang outlet is conveniently located in Orchard. Food was served fast & pipping hot, don't recall this in my previous visits. Ingredients selection are similar to other stores. This store however is probably more clamp & somehow feel very stuffy while having the meal.

Really disappointed with the dry mala. The way it’s being cooked/served is not appetizing at all. I wish it would have been stir fried. It’s literally just boiled with the seasoning on the side. Don’t think i will ever come back here in the future 😭😭

Made your own dish, if you know what I mean. I quite surprised the Tom Yum soup definitely imitated taste from Thai’s Tom Yum recipes. It isn’t Mala taste for sure.

Please train your service crew, all same attitude, their eyes keep looking at customer bowl, is it rushing to chase out the customers? If doesn’t allow customer to sit here to eat, why not open kiosk concept. All take away?

The girl server has poor attitude at Ion Orchard Branch... not good service at all😤 …

I come to Scott food court. Spend $6.50 buy mid size chicken rice. Less than 8 spoon eat finish.

Over price for the below average taste of chicken rice. You can easily find the other cheaper chicken rice but taste way better than this. The staff is rude . Not recommended.
