Great thing about this chicken rice stall is they allow Roast & White chicken to be mixed for the half chicken portion at $24. Personally my spouse and I find the white chicken tastier than the roast while both are good. We got a salted veg duck at $7+ and everything was very satisfying for 2 adults! We love the amazing well-flavoured rice which isn’t mushy or hard! We love that we could get a filling, delicious and high protein meal at about $30 in town area and will definitely come back again when I’m in the area! Though I won’t be ordering the Salted Veg Duck soup again as the veg is a little too chunky and strong in flavour for me. I prefer my salted veg chopped in smaller pieces for a milder salted veg flavour.

The hainan rice is very bland, not oily. Bagi kami, kurang wangi. We were party of 5 adults and 2 children. We ordered half half roasted and steam chicken. 5 hainam rice. Tofu and gizard and eggs. It is enough for all of us. The portion is quite big and fair for the price. The uncle and aunt are very helpful and accomodated the guests. We came on lunch time, already to wait to be seated for 15 mins.

The uncle is rude as hell. Don’t expect much from a hawker style place but slamming plates is not acceptable. Do not spend your hard earned cash is places that have so much attitude and ego.

I’ve been eating here for about 2 decades since school days and it’s still as enjoyable. Chicken is tender and all the dishes are flavourful. There’s usually a queue at meal times but it moves fast as you expect to share tables. Prices are very reasonable considering its location and inflation over the years. Will continue to dine here for the food and nostalgia!

Terrible service and food. I was standing outside waiting to be seared and the staff saw me, but ignored me. She kept talking to another customer and cant be bothered to let another staff know that I’m queueing to get seated. This took more than 10mins and still no one attended to me. When it came to my turn to order, the staff went to the kitchen instead. I thought the food will be saving grace, but it was hypertension and high blood pressure. Everything was maximumly salty and you could barely taste any meat of the pork chop given the paper thinness. Not too sure about the other ratings, but Encik Tan tastes better. Thank goodness the price was decent. P.S. I had to eat with prawn shell under the chair

Food was delicious. The crab with bee hoon needs to be ordered in advance and was worth it. Also ordered the bean sprouts with salted fish that was perfected done; wok fire was strong enough so it was Al Dente and wasn’t soggy. And my kids loved the Sweet and Sour pork which surprisingly many places screw it up. Two thumbs up. Will be back.

Reasonable food place in Orchard! Will definitely bring more people to eat so I can order more next time I love their pork chop curry rice very much! Even though the pork chop looks thin and dry, somehow, it goes extremely well with the curry! Oyster omelette is crispy and nice Hokkian mee is so so for me

A great lunch spot in the area. The dishes were tasty, service was quick, and very affordable / value for money. Overall recommended.

Was brought to Maddie’s by special friend who highly recom here. All the dishes we ordered, oyster omellette, ngohiang, chilli wanton, hainan curry rice were truly local 5 star excellent and chng tng was top notch had tapao extras. Unfort, i had a toilet run shiver at 4am and rest of day mild food poisoning ko… just suspect the oyster was culprit.🤔😭
