Attn to Julia, I received the worst service ever from you, horrid service in my whole entire life! I did not even manage to step into the restaurant. I supposed she is the supervisor since she is differently dressed-different top. I was there as early at 6pm. I was told that I can be only seated after all guests arrived and was told to wait at the corner and place my order through the qr code when my hands were all full. Shortly after less than 5 mins, I received text from my family that they arrived and in carpark now. So I asked for a seat and I was again rejected despite I said my family already in carpark. There were at least 3 empty tables for 4 pax. Finally I asked for a seat for one pax since I was the only one present, again I was rejected, and she told me troublesome to change table later. So inflexible, rigid mind, and no empathy when I explained my hands were all full of bags. Btw my family arrived in 5 mins at the restaurant and there were still empty tables. I will never step into your restaurant again. You don't deserve a star for rejecting a diner!!! I had no choice to give one star just to post it. Went to another restaurant, Chen's Kitchen, next door and I was promptly seated when my family has not arrived.

Ordered the same as I always ordered. Beef rendang. Prawn crackers. Soto Ayam. Yellow rice. But somehow the taste and quality here is not as good as I had in Jewel. Portion is always small and just nice for 1-2 person per dish. The sambal chilli was good thou. Other than that service was ok and restaurant was very clean and neat.

Best dish for me was the Tahu Telur, which was very good. Also liked the Assam fish which was well balanced and tasty. Had Beef Rendang which was ok but not as the fish and tofu dishes above. My wife has a sweet tooth and had Chendol too. Restaurant located on basement of Paragon Shopping Centre near to Orchard and Somerset MRT stations.

I enjoy the food for sure, been back several times and had satisfying meals. But hahaha the level of service could be better starting with the cashier at the entrance. I keep getting curt responses from her, haha fortunately the food made up for it... besides the place is not built for comfort as sound echoes... i guess it cant be help as business is good and they need to turnover the tables fast. If you are bothered by the noise, then go off peak hours. Would have rated higher if the staff is more pleasant and service orientated.

Have been here a couple of times now but finally reviewing!! Ordered Nasi Goreng Istimewa and this was super satisfying with fried rice, prawn crackers, sour achar, and 2 chicken satay!! Very shiok! And the most important part? Every single component was very tasty - would definitely recommend you try this restaurant out! Follow me on Instagram @melmeleats for more food reviews! 😀

We wanted a quick lunch as we were in between medical appointments in the building. There were a couple of tables vacant when we arrived. We ordered the nasi campur with beef rendang, and the nasi goreng Istemewa. Both dishes arrived in around 7 minutes, which was surprising but in a good way. The fried rice was tasty, and we liked the two satay sticks and the fresh prawns. The nasi campur was also good, and the beef was cooked deliciously. The emping with sambal was also fresh, as was the small bowl of sayur lodeh. Overall, the food was of a good standard, but prices were on the high side, especially for drinks. There seemed to be a lack of staff and they were slightly rushed off their feet, but still kept a smile on the faces.

Nice. But the Soto Ayam abit too salty. Asked the staff and was told its authentic n supposed to go with rice. The black sauce on Tahu Telor and fr8ed squids personally find abit too sweet. Thus should not drizzle too much. Chendol and avocado drink, could improve further.

[I don’t always remember to cite the disclaimer but I rate establishments independently and do not receive concessions from them] I am not knowledgeable on general Indonesian cuisine, but what the Makassar cuisine we had were amazingly flavourful and definitely an art form. Unlike many places where menus follow similar taste patterns (and rely more on ingredient variations) this culinary art is diverse and test your taste buds in every area. Will have to come back for more of different dishes.

The restaurant is spacious and wasn’t busy at all on a Saturday evening (this says something about the restaurant as most other places in Orchard have snaking queues on Saturday nights). We had high expectations but were left disappointed. Food was served cold including the rice (how?). They should have the decency to at least try to microwave the food. Portions were small, and the food while salty was lacking in any other flavour.
