I had such a bad experience here, and I’m honestly so upset. I decided to come to this salon after seeing an influencer promoting their bleaching and colouring services. I’ve been bleaching my hair for years, and I even told the stylist during my appointment that I was very worried because a previous salon at East Coast Road had burnt my hair badly before. It took me 3 years to grow my hair back healthy. But during this session, I noticed something worrying. The stylist didn’t wash off the first round of bleach before reapplying the second round. Instead, she left the first bleach sitting on my roots for over 20 minutes before applying more, and leave it on my hair for 40-60minutes. I wasn’t comfortable with this, but I trusted that they knew what they were doing. The next day, my worst fear came true—my hair started breaking from the root area where they bleached. It’s been few weeks, and my hair is still breaking. Now all my roots have short, broken hairs sticking up, and I can’t leave my hair untied without it looking horrible. I even Googled afterwards and found out that proper bleaching should never layer chemicals like this without washing in between—it overprocesses the hair and causes breakage. They did invite me back to let their director take a look, but I honestly don’t dare to let them use their products on my hair again. I don’t want to risk making things worse. It took me years to recover from the last time this happened, and now I don’t know how many more years it’ll take for my roots to grow back properly. I’m so disappointed. I came to this salon because I trusted their reputation, but what I got was severely damaged hair and a lot of regret.
