On 21 Oct 2022, the doctor, Esther Liew Shaw Fei at paragon clinic has a very bad etiquette. She was supposedly to be back at 2pm from lunch and she was not even back at 2:30pm. All patients have to wait for her simply she had a lunch longer than usual. I think Prime Medical Group ought to explain why and instil some discipline on such badly behaved doctor.

When I first arrived at this clinic a year ago, I had a positive experience the first and only time. Since then Dr Esther has been extremely cold, stern, unsympathetic. Believing someone is having a bad day I've returned a few times but unfortunately I am met with the same coldness and dismissive behaviour since. I have never really felt like holistic questions were asked and I am always coldly cut of when answering the very few questions I am asked. I only realised how bad this practice is when I went to another doctor from suspicions of being dismissed and the new practices warm, welcoming and understanding approach made it clear to me that I should not return to paragon medical clinic again. This isn't the way you treat patients the only positive from the practice is the lovely receptionists and that is about it.
ZOE, SOO EN _
Visited this clinic twice. My first experience was alright, the receptionist was not very nice, did not really attend to patients outside of the clinic and no directions was given as to whether temperature needs to be taken etc. Patients had to just wait outside without anyone attending to them. Second experience proved to be even worse than the first experience. Went to the clinic because of excessive bruising and went doctor examined me, she lifted my shirt and pressed against my stomach, and I was already in the early stages of developing shingles (initially, I thought it was just hives). Yet, she did not alert me to it in her capacity as a doctor! Extremely unethical doctor. Even though I was getting treated for bruises, she should have told me that I had shingles when she saw the spots on my stomach when inspecting me.
Please do not come here and proceed to a better clinic instead.

I visited Dr. Liew Shaw Fei Esther because I had pain in the kidney area of my lower back. My normal GP was on holiday for a week so I chose her because the location of my pain felt serious. She ordered the required tests, and when I returned to get the results, I was told nothing bad showed in my tests.
I visited my normal GP the following week, showed him the test results, and he immediately pointed out that one of the test results indicated I may have an infection. He's ordered expanded tests and confirmed the infection and prescribed antibiotics.
I am annoyed because Dr. Liew was both too lazy and too incompetent to identify an obvious infection. Maybe she was hoping I'd return so she could make more insurance money on treating me. If I were to have trusted her and not visited my normal GP, I would be a walking around with an infected kidney that would only get worse and cause serious damage later on.
I do not recommend this Dr. for anything beyond treating a flu.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Esther at Prime Medical Group (Paragon) for about 10 years. Occasionally, I visit a nearby clinic out of convenience, but I always end up going back to Dr. Esther within a few days.
She’s professional, friendly, and truly cares for her patients. Some people may find the wait time a little long, but honestly, if you’re looking for proper treatment and faster recovery, it’s worth the 30–60 minute wait. If you want speed above all, you can always go to a private specialist—it will definitely be faster (and pricier).
The reception ladies are also nice—if you speak to them nicely. What do you expect if you don’t treat people with respect? Everyone’s just doing their job.
I’m also surprised to see people leaving reviews about their clothes, shoes, or even age—that’s not a standard to judge a doctor. What matters is her care and medical expertise, and Dr. Esther delivers both.
If it’s not serious and you’re just looking for a medical certificate, a neighborhood clinic might do. But for real care, I’ll always trust Dr. Esther.

First time visit here. Receptionist over the phone, and in person, was extremely nice. Very accommodating and efficient too. The doctor is quite quick, not the most patient and friendly doctor out there, but you know she understands the condition.

Im so surprised to see negative comments about the clinic. Dr Esther is the best GP in Singapore, my whole family have been seeing her for 8 years already. She is a very experienced doctor who really cares about her patients. The receptionist ladies are also professionals, they are usually quite busy because there are many patients. I travel from the east coast to see dr Esther, can’t recommend her and her team enough 👌

I have been visiting the clinic for almost 8 years. Doctor Liew is patient, professional and detail. The counter staffs are like friends already . There’s the reason why the clinic is always crowded.
Who AmI
Dr Liew has been my GP for the past 10+ years. Positive experiences every time. The front desk folks get a bit overwhelmed sometimes due to the volume.
Just a suggestion to the front desk: don’t mention the medication names when handing it to patients. I’m sure not everyone would be comfortable with an entire waiting room finding out what ailments he/she has. 😁
