Sometimes I enjoy eating vegetarian food, and whenever I’m around the Orchard area, D’Life @ Orchardgateway always comes to mind.
On this visit, I had the Bak Kut Teh, Salad Mushroom, and Asam Fish — all of which were savory and delightful. I really enjoyed the flavors.
However, the service could use some improvement. It was quite difficult to get the staff’s attention, as they seemed busy and rushed — possibly due to being understaffed.
That said, we still had a good overall experience. D’Life offers a wide variety of vegetarian dishes, and I’ve also tried their Meesua, Horfun, Hotplate Tofu, Satay, and Claypot Curry in the past — all satisfying and delicious.
Note: Expect longer queues, especially on the 1st and 15th day of the Chinese lunar calendar, as the restaurant tends to get very crowded on those days.

B2 of Orchard Gateway, you will have to wait in line for a table crowded during lunch and dinner peak hours. They have a very extensive menu and this is a vegetarian restaurant, but they made vegetarian food exciting you would not feel that you actually missing out on meat and I totally applaud them. We ordered the fried rice nasi goreng, stir fried vegetables, fried mushrooms, coated with salted egg, and a mushroom dish with fried French beans in a light curry sauce.
We subsequently added on the clay pot glass noodles, which is a broth of mushrooms with mock prawn.
We also ordered the golden pumpkin which was tofu in a pumpkin sauce, which vegetables. What then I was really the mushroom fried mushroom the stir fried mushroom with curry sauce it was totally addictive. I did not find it too overwhelming and a vegetable was still nice and crunchy .
Best part of the meal, despite the tastiness, I was sceptical at first, but I did not feel thirsty at all, hence, I will go back definitely !

Whenever we come to orchard, here is the place where we will be enjoying a nice meal.
Sonce my last review, after 1 year we came again on Labour Day, a public holiday. Long queue, but the worker here is experienced and handles the queue in a good manner.
This time, we tried their mala grilled fish. Woah, if you are a spicy lover you would love it! It's so good!
Signiture fried rice is equally good too, just nice wokhey , and what I love the most it comes with a piece of papadam.

I must mention the presence of flies in the restaurant, it was quite annoying.
Food was alright, slightly warmer than lukewarm even though the pan was hot.
Staff mixed up our side dishes to other table and just swapped back after placing it on the other table. I don't know if it had been touched by other patrons. A nicer way for the other table would be to just leave it. A nicer way for us is to bring us a new one.
It is not nice to remove food from one's table. It is also not nice to shift food from other table to us is my point.

Had dinner here upon the recommendation of friends
Every single dish ordered was very flavorful and unique to the region. All dishes are plant based.
Ordered the Penang Laksa, Fruit Rojak and Satay Skewers
Delicious. Will come back again if I come back to Singapore
