CHEONG WING ER CHEONG WING ER

We had a very disappointing experience here. The food itself was not bad, but the service was extremely poor. While we were still eating and our dishes were clearly not finished, an older woman with dyed hair and a younger long-haired girl repeatedly came to our table trying to clear our plates. Their attitude was extremely rude. There were several other tables with empty plates that they did not clear, and many tables were unoccupied, so we really don’t understand why they kept coming to us as if trying to rush us. It felt very uncomfortable. The food is okay, but the service needs a lot of improvement. Please train your staff on basic courtesy.

This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner of Far East Plaza. Despite the sign indicating a wait, no one was attending to the seated. This could be improved. The service was quite minimal, possibly due to a shortage of staff. The ordering process is manual by noting down of the dish number on the menu and pay at the cashier using non-credit card payment method. The menu offers a wide variety of Thai dishes, and it’s great that we can adjust the spiciness level. The standard for most dishes seems mild spicy. The tom yum soup was quite authentic, with the clear soup being superior to the red one. The portions of fish and prawn were generous. The yam woon sen was enjoyable, but it lacked the desired spiciness. We hadn’t mentioned our preference for spicier food, so it tasted just mild spicy as their standard. The prawn cake was a disappointment; it was watery inside and not very nice. The pork ka prow was tasty, but it wasn’t spicy. The fried egg and shrimp dish was quite ordinary and could be skipped also The drinks, lemon grass and Thai milk tea, were good and not overly sweet. Overall, this place serves delicious and authentic Thai cuisine. However, the prices are quite high. A bowl of tom yum costs a bit high, each dish is around the same price. However? It’s worth trying though when in orchard area for a nice thai cuisine. Just remember to mention your preference for spiciness when ordering at the cashier. The standard dish is mild, and it won’t be as enjoyable if you don’t want it spicy.

Good value for money Thai food at Orchard Road area. Known for their Krapow, but we enjoyed their Red Curry (soft bone pork so tender!) and crispy whole sea bass.

Nigella Nigella

The chicken in the pad see kew was so tender and generous. Really delicious but oily. The prawn cake was lacking in taste and texture. Overall, I think the dishes are overpriced. Can eat the same quality at cheaper prices not in Orchard Road.

So far best Thai casual restaurant in Singapore. All taste were very consistent and complex, pork belly was the best in Singapore even when I compared with Chinese restaurants. Over all , really good and good price.

Rating 3 stars because I felt the food wasn’t done well. Like for example the squid is too rubbery. We had also ordered the basil rice but it’s not that yummy too The Tom yum soup is acceptable but kindly note it’s really very spicy.

Average Thai food, pork leg rice was quite normal, the meat was kinda dry and tough to bite, gravy also wasn't nice. Was kind of bland. Congee was also soso, compared to aperia mall, the standard here is not as good.

Food tasted generally okay - nothing impressive but can’t complain much either. Only exception is their pickled crab salad that has a really fishy taste and we barely touched it. Food prices are pretty pricey, not sure is it cause they require us to order through grab (and we are absorbing their platform fee). Service wise is quite negligible other than they served us the dishes, but even so, they forgot to serve us our drinks till we were halfway into our meal. All in all, not worth it.

The food was extremely delicious and authentic. It tasted like food that I ate in Thailand. We visited this restaurant around 3.30pm and the service was extremely fast and efficient. The fried rice and the Thai Milk Tea is extremely tasty. Initially saw a lot of bad reviews on Google but the food turned out to be really good. Highly recommend people to visit this place during off-peak hours.

By chance we decided from a few available places to eat at far east plaza. We saw quite a few table with Thais eating so we reckon it has to be good. The food we ordered turned out awesome. It is very authentic and the taste is just nice with the level of spiciness we requested. The green chicken although not as thick as most places but it is the way we like it to be. The ingredients are all very fresh. The pineapple rice has lots of ingredients and is homey tasty. The ruby and chendol desserts are fabulous. The coconut milk is smooth light and fragrant! Will want to come back here again for other dishes.
