Food was great. However we noticed that the bbq pit has a large amount of oil such that the oil splashed out from the pit and hit us. I think they should have cleaned it up before letting any customer use it.

I ordered a steak set but was a little surprised to be served steak that was still frozen with ice on it. For the price point (sgd30+ per person), I had expected better quality and preparation. Even if you want to use frozen steak, I shouldn’t be seeing ice on my table? Service also felt impersonal — the waiter serving my food held the tray with my dish for a moment as if expecting me to take it from his hands, even though the table was clear, and I wondered if I was expecting too much for the tray simply to be placed on the table. It’s not an excuse to say that because this is “cheap” at SGD30+ per person, service should be cold — just look at how warm and welcoming the service is at Saizeriya one floor below.

Reached at 8:30pm, had ample seats available, but server told us to get queue number. We (group of 3) got the queue number but he made us wait for 15 minutes even though we were okay with splitting up. He let the queue number after us go first and ignored us all the way. We even waved to call him but he ignored us and went to chill at the staff area, hence we walked away. It was a big sized Indian man.

Frozen meat, terrible experience. The meat was served completely frozen. All the slices were stuck together in a big lump. After grilling, it became tough, dry, and chewy. Unacceptable quality for a yakiniku place. Won't be coming back.

We are regulars on weekdays and we want to thank Jason for his excellent service! He was keeping an eye out for diners, and went out of the way to change my chopsticks which fell without me requesting for a new set and also finding me alternative space to place my bag. I also observed that he was also taking initiative to serve and help other diners. Very pleasant experience, please make sure that he’s rewarded for his excellent service!

Served by John, a cheerful and polite 5 star employee. He ran the whole restaurant almost all by himself and yet maintained a cheerful disposition throughout my dining time. I hope the management value this employee, if not he will easily be poached by other F&B companies. Update : Just realised that I am not the only reviewer who noticed John’s dedication to his role. Well done, John!

The food is decent, just like any other yakiniku outlet. We got the karubi set. The rice comes in 3 sizes (S-L), all are included no top up needed. Soup was a little oily but still delicious. Kimchi was on the sweeter side, was looking for more spice. The beef was well marinated and fresh. Service was good as well. Only problem would be the oil splashing out because there was a lot of oil. Would recommend using setting 3 so that the oil doesnt splash out.
