TAG Espresso at Takashimaya represents a "deluxe coffee concept" that combines high-quality specialty coffee with Japanese-inspired cuisine in a hidden gem location within Ngee Ann City. Tucked away at #02-11 in Tower B, this industrial-chic café has become a favourite spot for those seeking refuge from the Orchard Road crowds while enjoying excellent coffee and creative brunch fare.
What makes TAG Espresso special is its expressive approach to coffee – the name itself embodies a philosophy of coffee as a medium for creativity rather than just a morning caffeine fix. The café serves signature creations like the Kaya Pandan Latte and Rose Coconut Latte, which blend local flavours with specialty coffee to create uniquely Singaporean coffee experiences. All coffee is made using 100% Arabica beans, ensuring quality matches the creativity.
The food menu elevates typical café fare with Japanese-fusion influences. Light bites, all-day brunch items, Japanese-inspired rice bowls, pasta, and burgers demonstrate culinary ambition that exceeds expectations for a coffee shop. The 9.90 brunch sets offer particularly good value, combining quality food with excellent coffee in a setting that feels more like a hidden sanctuary than a mall café.
The café's remote location within Takashimaya is actually part of its appeal – regulars appreciate escaping to this peaceful retreat where they can work, relax, or meet friends away from the mainstream thoroughfares. Operating from 8am to 8pm daily, TAG accommodates both early coffee seekers and those looking for an afternoon pick-me-up or early evening cocktails during their happy hour (5-8pm).
Coffee is always room temperature. I’ve tried and tried again to give this place a go. Iv wasted them to make coffee extra hot even. But it always comes out room temperature. Seems like they pre froth the milk. Disappointing give the other areas of service seems good.

Not an easy find in Taka, quite hidden.
Service could be warmer in my opinion. When she asked, having here or takeaway, I said I am just having a coffee here. And she said, oh so having here lah. The tone used could be friendlier.
The Spanish latte was in warm temperature. I prefer my coffee to be hotter.
No wifi provided.
Can’t really find a reason to be back. It’s just not a welcoming experience for me.

Had some work to do so was happy to find a seat in this cafe. Relatively comfortable and not toooo busy. No plugs and when it's busy u are limited to 90 minutes but it was actually quite empty in the afternoon so I stayed for a while.
Had two latte and my partner tried an iced latte. Total was 23.54$ so honestly p expensive but to be expected in this location I guess.
The coffee itself was good. Well crafted by the barista with v smooth milk on top. Would've preferred a more fragrant taste though or a few coffee beans to choose from considering the price point.
Overall it's a nice cafe.

Tried a new coffee place as part of the Cafe Hopping Adventure. Located just outside office building. Nice inside area. Friendly & helpful staff. Standard menu with a few special items. Tried the nutty cucumber latter and it wasn’t bad…espresso was nice flavor. Didn’t have any food/pastries. I would go back to try a more traditional espresso/ drink

Great iced latte and iced americano! Slightly acidic americano with a fruity bitterness aftertaste.
Iced latte’s espresso tasted bold with its milk tasting wholesome. Great combination.
Service was good and friendly. Nice place to chill on a weekday afternoon.

A hidden gem in Taka where we (the tenants) get our daily coffee fix. Kudos to the wonderful staff at Tag, especially Annie! They never fail to greet and welcome us warmly every morning. Most importantly, the coffee Magician, Annie who loves creating yummy and whimsical coffee concoctions! I always look forward to trying her creations.

The lycee ice tea is so refreshing good. So are the yummy Har Cheong Gar wings. The staff especially Annie is friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoy our interaction with her. Will come back for brunch or lunch next time.
A little hard to find at first as it’s situated outside Tower B level 2 facing Orchard Turn Rd.
