Sushi Ryujiro at Shaw Centre brings the prestigious culinary heritage of Tokyo to Singapore with the opening of this One Michelin-starred Japanese sushi restaurant in partnership with Les Amis Group. Chef Ryujiro Nakamura, owner and supervisor of the original Tokyo establishment, has brought his masterful vision and young protégé to lead the Singapore location, ensuring an authentic omakase experience that honors traditional edomae sushi techniques. With only 14 intimate counter seats, the restaurant delivers an exclusive and personalized dining journey where every piece is meticulously crafted.
The menu features three distinct omakase experiences: Nigiri (SGD 188 lunch), Omakase (SGD 288 lunch and dinner), and Signature Omakase (SGD 388 dinner). Japanese rice is dressed in a proprietary blend of four red vinegars, and most ingredients are imported directly from Japan to maintain authenticity. Each omakase includes otsumami and edomae nigiri sushi, representing the pinnacle of Japanese sushi craftsmanship.
Reservations open 90 days in advance and are essential given the limited seating. Open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner at 1 Scotts Road, Shaw Centre.

Every piece of sushi was well explained by Kai, a young experienced singaporean chef. Love the sushis he perfected tastefully with a dash of traditional art .
Due to their rules to standardise all sushis, it was therefore a simple traditional omakase dinner. I focus very much on their food and definitely would love their sakes. However, the price point for alcohol is rather high, so do ensure youre ready for it & the chefs loves drinks!
It wasnt my first and will head there again before it closes

This was one of my favourite Omakase meals in Singapore thus far. Ingredients were very fresh (the head chef shared that he changes menus daily according to the freshest daily imports), a thoughtful use and pairing of ingredients to bring out their natural flavours, and knowledgeable and friendly chefs. Will definitely be back!

Chef Ryujiro’s attention to detail is evident in every element — from the knife work to the rice temperature — making this a dining experience that balances tradition with personal touch. For those who appreciate sushi crafted with quiet mastery, Sushi Ryujiro is a worthy destination.

The staff here are friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The fish is fresh and high quality—everything tastes like it was prepared with care. The kappa maki is huge, and the hand-crafted negi toro maki is worth the wait. You can really see the attention to detail in every dish. Highly recommended for sushi lovers looking for a relaxed, authentic experience.
