I had a sudden craving for sushi and decided to check out Sushi Ryujiro to see the current quality of sushi at the $188++ price point in Singapore.
First impressions were not that great because the table felt like cheap wood with a strange curve at the edge, and the disposable paper napkins that they provided instead of the usual cloth ones that such places would provide.
The appetizer consisting of somen and sakura ebi was nice, but that was the highlight for a while. The sushi was generally weak and didn't taste that nice for me, until the tuna hand roll and the iwashi that one of the staff recommended, after I wanted to add kohada. Kohada wasn't sour enough for me. The tamago and ice cream was nice.
This will probably taste nice to people new to omakase, but at this price point, I think it will be challenging for seasoned eaters to enjoy it.

Every piece of sushi was well explained by Kai, a young experienced singaporean chef. Love the sushis he perfected tastefully with a dash of traditional art .
Due to their rules to standardise all sushis, it was therefore a simple traditional omakase dinner. I focus very much on their food and definitely would love their sakes. However, the price point for alcohol is rather high, so do ensure youre ready for it & the chefs loves drinks!
It wasnt my first and will head there again before it closes

This was one of my favourite Omakase meals in Singapore thus far. Ingredients were very fresh (the head chef shared that he changes menus daily according to the freshest daily imports), a thoughtful use and pairing of ingredients to bring out their natural flavours, and knowledgeable and friendly chefs. Will definitely be back!

Chef Ryujiro’s attention to detail is evident in every element — from the knife work to the rice temperature — making this a dining experience that balances tradition with personal touch. For those who appreciate sushi crafted with quiet mastery, Sushi Ryujiro is a worthy destination.

The staff here are friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The fish is fresh and high quality—everything tastes like it was prepared with care. The kappa maki is huge, and the hand-crafted negi toro maki is worth the wait. You can really see the attention to detail in every dish. Highly recommended for sushi lovers looking for a relaxed, authentic experience.

The restaurant has been beautifully refreshed with lovely welcoming gardens where there used to be seating. Diners are by the counter with a full view of the excellent pair of dashing young chefs skillfully preparing the fish with precision and marinades. Kudos too to those hidden the kitchen for the superb cooked dishes. Discreet and thoughtful service also provided by the wait staff. Red snapper roe was a surprise treat and the nigiri sushi exquisite. In a nice touch, the chefs had used less rice as we were also imbibing.

So nice. You can enjoy Authentic Japanese Sushi here in Singapore. The atmosphere is as same as high class Sushi bar in Japan.
