I went for their bojin facial first trial session at $38 on 4 August 2025 and did not have a good experience at all. I wish I could give zero stars. My own facial package elsewhere had ended and I was looking for a new place. I chanced upon this promotion online and booked an appointment. It was great that they had an availability on the day itself as I was nearby, but maybe it should have rang alarm bells in me as to why their appointment slots were so readily available. I hate hard selling and would never patronise a place which does so, but they promised me the following: "No, there's absolutely no hard-selling involved. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and informative experience. You’re free to decide based on what you feel is suitable, no pressure at all." The therapist was ok. She offered me an ampoule during the facial but she did not hard sell. The facial was also satisfactory. However, the receptionist/sales person posed a huge problem. 1) There was hard selling and I did not feel comfortable at all. When I gave feedback subsequently, the company responded with: "Regarding the hard-selling concern, we have reviewed our front desk CCTV footage and noted that the sales conversation lasted under 5 minutes. Based on the recording, our staff posed a brief question about your interest in our services, and upon your polite decline, did not pursue further." This defensive reply is totally false. When I refused the "first time customer special offer", the staff came up with two other "special" packages and kept pressuring me to purchase. When I refused to purchase any packages, they pursued on why I was not purchasing the package and kept pressing me for the reason why. 2) After seeing my IC, the receptionist/sales person insisted on calling me by my Chinese name. During the whole conversation, they kept calling me by my Chinese name. I have already said to address me by my English name, I do not understand why the staff is so insistent that I have to be called by my Chinese name on my IC? Is he insinuating that my English name is fake? My friends all address me by my English name so why does this particular shop have so many problems in addressing people with their preferred name? 3) The staff also insisted on having my IC, which i did not have the hard copy then as the appointment was booked pretty last minute. But I was willing to show my Singpass and showed my Singpass eventually as well. However, he was doubtful of my ?identity and kept trying to double check if I was truly a first time customer. What kind of attitude is this? Doubting your customers? Yes, I was truly a first time customer, but also a last time customer. Please delete all my information from your company's system. I do not wish for my information to remain in the system of an unethical company. Do not come to this shop if you do not want hard-selling and defensive poor service.
