The phone service was terrible.
Even without seeing their face, I could clearly tell from the tone that the attitude was bad.
They put me on hold immediately without even saying “please hold for a moment.”
On top of that, I was passed around from one person to another.
I see that other people have also given low ratings, which makes sense.
I wonder what kind of training or guidance is being provided to the staff on site.

Never recommended. There are several doctors here but the operation is so slow and efficient that people have to wait at least 40min and it’d often be 90min. Ridiculous. Don’t make patients wait that long in agony

As others note, the attitude of the receptionist is the worst.

Don't recommend this hospital at all.

Before going, I was concerned about the closing time of reception, so I called to confirm (with the English-speaking receptionist) and was told that it would be fine as long as I arrived by 6:15 PM. With that as a confirmation, I adjusted my schedule and arrived around 6:05 PM, but (the Japanese-speaking receptionist) told me that "it would cost an additional $50 if I arrived after 6 PM," so I had to reschedule. There seems to be a lack of communication within the reception team.

I and my child goes to this clinic for many years and always have a good experience. When emergency happened while their booking was full, they are nice and flexible to be treated with priority so I didn't need to suffer with pain that long. When my child have some eye problems Dr. Okano is always gentle, explain to us in easier words in detail and never recommend us operations unless it's absolutely need it (unlike local doctors here in Singapore and in Malaysia as well) . So we have a faith in him and this clinic.

I have been going here for GP, dermatology etc and have always had great service. One receptionist in particular has amazing manners and care. I have had one bad experience in Bugis clinic w accountant but other than that reasonable fee and expertise.

Polite and dedicated receptionists and competent doctor. I am aware of the notorious reputation of the receptionist attitude but I’ve experienced nothing but politeness today from the ones who attended to me. Maybe I was lucky to avoid the cranky one, who knows?

I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes at Raffles Clinic (Orchard Branch), and returned to Japan for surgery at a clinic in Kyoto.
It was my first time to have surgery on my eyes, so I was quite nervous, but the surgery was a same-day operation, took about 6 minutes for both eyes (3 minutes for each eye), and I didn't feel any pain and it was over before I knew it.
My vision was blurred immediately after the surgery due to the effects of the medicine, but the next morning my vision was incredibly clear and there were no problems with my work or daily life.
I had moderate cataracts, severe myopia, mild astigmatism, and mild presbyopia, but the surgery resolved all of these symptoms, and I now live my life immersed in the feeling that "this is how I must have seen the world when I was a child."
Dr. Takahashi of Orchard Branch is a specialist with extensive surgical experience, so if you have symptoms such as blurred vision or glare in the sunlight, I recommend consulting Dr. Takahashi.

I was struggling with worsening cataracts and vision problems, but meeting Dr. Takahashi, who recently joined our ophthalmology clinic, solved my problem in one fell swoop. Specifically, I returned to Japan for surgery, but as I couldn't be away from Singapore for long periods due to work, I needed to have pre- and post-operative examinations and tests done in Singapore and have the results communicated with the surgeon in Japan.
Dr. Takahashi not only introduced me to an excellent surgeon, but also provided me with thorough support throughout. He was very thorough, offering suggestions on the best course of action based on my future vision, providing thorough explanations of the surgery, and giving advice on how to spend time before and after the surgery.
Now that I can see well after the surgery, I feel very fortunate to have been able to consult with Dr. Takahashi at a time when I was struggling to decide what to do. I look forward to continuing to rely on him.
