Food is amazing and delicious~ Me and my family really love the freshness of the fish as it is soft and tasted very good! We love the coziness and atmosphere of the shop as well. Would visit again to try out different foods! 10/10 recommended~

Everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken tempura, in particular, was so delicate and light it almost tasted like fish, so good. Likewise, the spicy vegetable onigiri was a major highlight. It was hearty and definitely worth it.

Cozy izakaya restaurant specialising in food from Oita, nice spot for a Christmas dinner date night. We had a counter seat and enjoyed the mentaiko onigiri and chicken tempura . Ended off with the duck hotpot.

We ordered the set course and it was worth it, portion wise was good esp their signature rice ball! The highlight gonna be the rice ball (tried salmon and pickled vegs), the pickled vegs was unique and nice! Rice was well done :) the chicken tempura was the other highlight, we love how moist inside and crispy outside it was- not too oily thankfully! Ambience makes you feel like you are back japan's izakaya house and 100perc the vibes with the music and counter seatings.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really enjoyed this place! 🍣✨ The tuna sashimi was fresh, thick, and beautifully buttery~ you can really taste the quality 🤍 The rice with egg yolk was super comforting and addictive 🥚🍚, simple but done very well. Loved the variety of small side dishes too! Quite light, refreshing, and a great balance to the richer items 🥒🦪 The hand roll had crisp nori with generous filling, very satisfying 🌿🍙 Ended the meal with the sea salt gelato, which was a lovely surprise 🍨💙 Creamy, not too sweet, with a subtle salty finish~ Quite a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, great food quality, comforting flavours, and a pleasant dining experience. Would definitely come back again 😊🍵

An amazing quaint place to have izakaya style dishes. The food was amazingly fresh and oishi and the service was really good. The flavours were robust and the dishes had some complexity to it. Truly one of the best izakayas in Singapore. You have to reserve in advance as it's quite popular. If you would like to try a bit of everything, the set menu is a must. The next best thing apart from eating in Japan!

minimum one drink per customer. google reviews is inflated because they offer one free drink per 5 star review. that aside, really good izakaya with Oita prefecture specialties although a little expensive. cozy atmosphere and attentive service. fried dishes were not too oily and moist on inside. crab cream croquettes and grilled beef tongue was very good. do get a reservation if you want to come in as it is limited seating and full.

Probably the closest thing to a real izakaya experience you can find in Singapore including the tight counter seats. Not a fan of the mandatory one drink policy nor the fact that they only served bottled drinks, but the food was hearty and excellent. Best Wagyu yukke and TKG I have ever had in Singapore and conversation with Okami san was nice. Definitely going back for the gyuutan and motsunabe next time.

Authentic Oita food in a lovely little shop - feels like I'm back in an izakaya in Beppu! Tried both the Course Set and ala carte - every dish was fantastic. Potato salad and the cream cheese crouton was outstanding for appetizers; the gyutan and chicken tempura were very well cooked and served hot. Flavours and textures were controlled well, with the right accompaniments (yuzu kosho, mustard, ponzu etc.) Truly a little hidden gem - just note the minimum 1 drink per person. Otherwise a fantastic Japanese spot!

A humble and small izakaya. I am impressed how the chefs amazing cook so many dishes in such a small kitchen. The chefs are friendly and the food really felt homecook. A comfortable eating experience. The onigiri was amazing. I had to ask many times to be served and when they told me this is usually serve at the last course I was surprised. Because I would have eaten up to 75% full by then and may be difficult to finish a heavy onigiri. But the rice ball was so well flavoured I goobled down even though I was really full. The other highlight was th duck hotpot. The duck meat was cut to perfect thickness to be cooked in the hotpot. The broth is overwhelming salty but still I enjoyed it. The karage was fried thinly and i still taste how tender and fresh the meat was. It felt very homely. Enjoyable to get counter seats to watch the chefs interact with customers while wrapping dumplings on the spot. I wanted to try so much other dishes but there was only two of us. Reservation is highly recommended as they have little seating. Require credit card to guarantee your reservation. The izakaya gets filled up fast and have a lot of jap customers to validate its authenticity.
