Wasabi Tei Japanese Cuisine has carved out a reputation as one of Orchard Roads hidden gems, tucked away at Far East Plaza on Scotts Road. Since opening, this intimate Japanese restaurant has attracted a devoted following among locals who appreciate authentic Japanese fare served without the premium pricing typical of the Orchard district.
The restaurant operates with a simple philosophy: fresh ingredients, honest preparation, and no hidden charges. Diners benefit from the absence of GST and service charges, with payment accepted via cash, PayNow, or PayLah. The limited counter seating overlooking the open kitchen creates an engaging dining atmosphere where guests can watch skilled chefs prepare each dish with precision.
What truly distinguishes Wasabi Tei is their commitment to generous portions, particularly evident in their sashimi offerings. The restaurant has become famous for serving outrageously thick slices of fresh fish, with the Chirashi bowl priced at twenty-four dollars delivering exceptional value. The Aburi Salmon Maki showcases expertly torched salmon, while cooked dishes like the Chicken Katsu Don and Gindara Teriyaki Teishoku demonstrate mastery across the Japanese culinary spectrum.
Operating Monday through Saturday with lunch and dinner services, Wasabi Tei takes Sundays off, so planning accordingly is essential. The restaurant occasionally sees queues during peak hours, testament to its popularity among those in the know. For shoppers exploring Far East Plaza or visitors seeking authentic Japanese cuisine along Orchard Road, Wasabi Tei offers a refreshing alternative to glitzy mall restaurants.

Went to the MBS outlet. There were two SAs ladies there and one of them was extremely rude and judgemental. Was put off and decided to walk out. Wouldn't go back anytime soon after this experience.

Very bad experience. I bought a pair of shoes for more than $1200 last week and they broke after one day of wearing. The price is not in line with the quality. I am very disappointed. I won't buy their shoes anymore.

Bad experience.
Not friendly staff - not customer friendly compare to those in MBS. It is hard to communicate and would lead you arguing with them which is a total opposite to MBS staff. Paragon staffs are not engaging and they are intimidating.
New Policy - apparently, they change their policy like “just 5 mins” ago after I call, as per Baiyi (cobbler). They now only allow designing of brand new shoes. I was informed by MBS when I bought shoes from them that they can design after you buy even after how many months, just present the receipt. The policy was just implemented a week ago as per another staff. I suggest that the policy shouldn’t be retroactive. Then the staff who said that they cannot do design for non brand new shoes maneuver that they can design after availing the “cleaning and sanitizing” service charge for 55sgd. While earlier she said it is no longer possible. Staff are not aligned they should be re-brief of your policies. One said they can, one said they cannot. Even manager said sometimes its “confusing”. You shouldn’t make it confusing and complicated to customers.
Negative Ambiance - the store doesn’t give good vibes, the shoes are scattered everywhere. Only a number of shoes are displayed, they wouldn’t offer other options unless you will ask.
Long Waiting time - the stock room is located upstairs. You will wait around 15mins for staff to get stock of the shoes you would only fit.
End up not having my superstar design anymore as the customer post service is not good.
I needed to wait like an hour for staff to comeback after her break.
Stardan style is not durable and can easily be damaged.
You lost a customer. Will not buy any shoes from your store.

1. My Golden Goose (GGs) shoes cost $700++ but quality is worse than anything I have seen (even Bata shoes are of better quality - no disrespect to Bata). My GGs broke on me in public - entire sole came off! I have worn them no more than 20 times in all. I had to walk home barefooted. Kindly see pics attached. I would have attached video if this review allowed me.
2. Customer service is really disappointing- both on Instagram and direct email. I felt being ‘pushed away’, I had to repeat myself via email (there was change in customer service rep and the latter one did not scroll through the email exchange before replying. The reps asked me irrelevant questions and asked for proof, where they did not matter at all in the end. (Why ask those questions in the first place?)
3. GG does not have any clear warranty policy - even when I asked explicitly via email. It also seems like they do not honour purchases from authorised resellers (I bought them from Peddler on Scotts- before GG opened a store in Singapore).
4. Customers and companies thinking about doing business with GG, you have been warned. It has been a thoroughly disappointing experience. A ‘luxury’ brand whose products, customer service and business practices are completely hollow. 😱

heard so much bad reviews about their outlet, decided to check it out. Staff except one gentleman offered assistance, while it didnt felt genuine, at least he offered. The remaining staff members have complete lacked of surroundings and just indulged in whatever they are doing.
Designs are nice, was torn between LV sneakerina and this. May give this a shot. hopefully when i decided to give this brand a shot, the brand experience would have improved.

Fara was an absolute sweetheart, she was so helpful and patient with my indecisiveness. Definitely look for her if you drop by. She helped me decide on my first pair of GG! Can't wait to be back to get them customized

Had a wonderful experience buying from this store. We were greeted with a smile. Zhu assisted me in finding the best sneakers. He showed me the classic black tab first, as I was eyeing for this for a long time. Since we do not have GGDB in PH and I do not trust resellers, I decided to buy it in SG. Good thing he showed me their newest collection and fell in love with it right away. Thank you so much and can't wait to visit again soon!

We had an amazing experience in GG Marina Bay Sands. Thank you Cedric for accommodating us! You really show us the golden goose designs according to our likings. You make us look perfectly imperfect with confidence!

Really cool store ! I love their sneakers and concept . The highlight was these delicious macaroons and drink that were served while we tried on sneakers.

SA Nina was very helpful to advise me to pick my first pair of GG sneakers. She even offered me water while I waited for stock to come from their storeroom downstairs. Better service than other luxury brands…
