Fitra Chicken Rice at Food Republic 313@Somerset Stall S15 serves MUIS halal-certified Hainanese chicken rice, ensuring Muslim diners can enjoy this quintessential Singaporean dish with complete confidence in its religious compliance. The stall prepares both tender poached chicken showcasing the traditional preparation method where birds are submerged in barely simmering broth, and roasted chicken featuring caramelized skin and deeper flavors—both served with the signature fragrant rice cooked in chicken stock and enriched with ginger and garlic aromatics.
Each plate arrives complete with fresh cucumber slices, house-made chili sauce providing spicy kick, and ginger paste offering pungent contrast—the classic accompaniments that define authentic chicken rice presentation. Pricing remains competitive with hawker-style rates despite the air-conditioned food court environment, making quality halal chicken rice accessible to budget-conscious diners. The location just minutes from Somerset MRT Station provides convenient access for workers, shoppers, and visitors exploring Orchard Road's retail corridor. Fitra Chicken Rice operates multiple locations across Singapore including outlets at Wisma Atria Food Republic, Kopitiam Square, Northshore Plaza, and airport terminals, demonstrating the brand's successful expansion while maintaining consistent quality. The 313@Somerset location serves the substantial lunchtime crowds seeking quick, satisfying meals between shopping excursions.
really really rude service from the cashier guy. i asked politely if the set comes with vegetables as I order 2 set (one steamed and one roasted) - he didn't say roasted doesn’t come with vegetable just proceed to point to the menu without explanation. When asked after the food is out, he rudely said I didn't order when he didn’t even mentioned to me when I asked previously. I honestly do not expect you to be friendly, but at least be clear when asked and basic manner NOT TO BE RUDE.

The worst chicken rice in Singapore and very expensive , taste so bad ,only eaten 1/4 and left the rest. I think the previous owner sold it to this new owner.

Not much to say about the food. Standard stuff, you can hardly mess up chicken rice. Was served by a heavy set Malay lady at the cashier, talking trash and complaining about customers to the other workers, in front of customers. Dah lah bulan puasa, kalau nak mengumpat tu, tunggulah out of earshot of customers dulu. Very rude, you know. Would never purchase again purely due to the bad attitude of this lady.

Halal Chicken Rice. Their Wanton fillings are chicken and black fungus, which is quite unique. Not sure what their Char Siew is made of. The chicken sauce has a sour-ish taste and not as salty as traditional Chicken Rice. Chili is very spicy though! Worth a try.

Was craving for some chicken rice and saw Fitra Hainanese Chicken rice in the Food Republic food court over at Wisma. Walked up to the counter to order as there was a staff member counting some money and wanted to do the right thing and waited till she finished. Stood there waiting for staff member to acknowledge us and still nothing (she knew I was in front of her because I was an arms length away from her). If I could offer some feedback – if busy (like counting money) staff should just say “one moment” or something just to say it won't be long, please wait etc... A minute or two later (still waiting) a guy from the kitchen saw me and proceeded to take my order.
Plus side, the rice has a lot of flavour, chicken is small but tender. Chicken rice chilli is spicy but has a nice kick to it. Menu is quite extensive, lots of choice to choose from.

I've tried the Hainan chicken rice set.
Taste, 4/5: Normal average chicken rice, the spices is not to strong and the chicken is not too flavorful, for me its not the best Hainan chicken rice that I ever had but worth to try if you passing by the food court and confuse what to order.
Presentation, 4/5 : Very appetizing
Texture, 4/5: The chicken is tender, the rice is normal not too mushy and not too dry.
Location, 5/5: Near Orchard road, inside somerset 313 @ food republic
Service, 4/5: fast and efficient service
Type: Chinese food.
Price: Very cheap as the same as hawker food price even it's inside a mall
Atmosphere/Ambience: modern place and crowded.
Notes:
Halal food

Good chicken rice and there are plenty of options in the food court if your group can’t decide. The food court gets very busy around 6pm and it can be hard to find a table.
