I guess i should have read all the red flag reviews before coming into this nail salon. I visited it randomly wanting to do a very simple classic mani pedi with a buff instead of color. I clarified the price, quoted me $48 as per the price list at the cashier. I thought this was rather reasonable but seeing the crowd, I asked again if i could do now instead of having to wait. I was told i could do it now. I seated myself down and waited for the nail tech to gather her tools (which took some time) but i didn’t mind it. After she started working on my feet first, another nail tech came up to me, and began working on my nails. As soon as she cut 3 fingernails, there was a bit of commotion among the techs and my manicure lady got up, escorted another customer beside me to another shop. I was confused as to why she said sorry and left. So i asked my pedicure tech what’s going on and was told that she had left to another shop. I asked if she was coming back (to finish her job with me) and again, after going back and forth with other nail techs and some commotion, i was told that someone else would attend to my nails in 10 minutes. Again, i kept my patience. I was completely perplexed. All this happened without me comprehending what went on as they spoke in Mandarin. Never bother to inform customer what is going on and left to wonder in confusion. What sort of service is this? Do nail techs just leave their work halfway and someone else just fills in after? Is this normal? Legit asking. The results of my classic mani/pedi with a shine was at best - passable. It was pretty obvious that the first 3 nails were cut by Tech A, and the remaining 7 were by Tech B. They were uneven. Strange. 1 star for the shine, another star for the drinking water they gave at each seat. The ending was the shocker and again, another big question mark for me. I wanted to pay by Nets/Card, was told $60 by same lady who earlier on said it was $48. So i asked why is it now $60. I was told because using Paylah it is $60. Strange. I said i don’t have Paylah, i can pay by Nets/Visa/Paywave whatever card options she has and then the lady said nevermind and took out a POS machine for my card payment. At that point i felt uneasy, and changed my mind to use cash instead. At that point, i paid $48 cash. So by what logic is it that using Paylah requires me to pay more, totally beats me. If you know the answer do enlighten me. Ambiance is not as comfortable, disorganised and dusty. I would never go back here, and would caution anyone who intends to sign up for packages here.
