Good Morning Nanyang Cafe brings traditional Southeast Asian breakfast and all-day dining concepts to Far East Plaza, emphasizing the comfort food traditions that have sustained multiple generations across Singapore and Malaysia. The restaurant's name references Nanyang, the Chinese term for Southeast Asia, signaling its focus on the distinctive fusion cuisine that emerged from Chinese culinary traditions adapting to tropical ingredients and local influences over more than a century. This approach resonates particularly with diners seeking familiar, nostalgic flavors in a convenient Orchard location.
The menu features kopitiam classics including kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs, nasi lemak, mee goreng, char kway teow, and various rice and noodle dishes that define the Nanyang culinary repertoire. Traditional beverages like kopi and teh prepared in the Southeast Asian style with condensed milk complement the food offerings. The restaurant maintains operating hours that accommodate genuine breakfast seekers while extending into lunch and afternoon periods, recognizing that breakfast food often appeals beyond morning hours in Singapore's eating culture.
Good Morning Nanyang Cafe provides efficient service in a straightforward setting that prioritizes the food and practical dining needs over elaborate atmosphere creation. Pricing reflects the accessible, everyday nature of the offerings, with combination sets providing particularly good value. The restaurant serves both solo diners seeking quick, satisfying meals and small groups looking for casual, unpretentious dining options within Far East Plaza's diverse food landscape.

The toasts and coffee here are excellent! The soft-boiled eggs were cooked to perfection, and the mee siam was delicious too! If I have the chance to be around this area in the morning again, I’ll definitely come back for breakfast 😋

Nice little place.
Coffee was rich and aromatic.
Orange ciabatta bread was pretty unique. Can actually taste the dried orange peels. Quite refreshing to go with the kaya spread
Half boiled eggs was prepared by the staff, perfect runny balance .

Seriously, this is the best local coffee, egg, and toast I have had in a while. A true local breakfast gem. Fresh kaya, perfectly toasted bread which is light and crisp – a must-try. The mee siam here is delicious too.
