First time trying. The burnt durian cheesecake was tasty and moist and I won’t mind having it again. However, the salted caramel macadamia cake was disappointing. The sponge cake was dry and the cream tasted a little odd to me. For cakes at this price, I would have expected more.

Huge variety of cake selection. The cakes do not seem to be refrigerated. I tried the summer berry cake and strawberry cream. I prefer the summer berry cake. There is a tiny corner for you to consume the cake.

Visited Chalk Farm at Paragon today (Feb 3, 2025) in the evening, and had such an appalling experience that calling it disappointing would be an understatement. There were 2 staff at the outlet. The lady handling the food items (appeared to be Chinese, sorry that I’m identifying by appearance but I didn’t note her name) was shockingly rude and displayed such unnecessary temper tantrum over a price question.
I asked what’s the price for the Crinkle Cookies, as the tag said “2 for $7.20,” and I wasn’t sure if that meant two boxes or one box (each box had 2 cookies). She aggressively slammed the price display stand on to the box, upset face pointing at it and replied in angry tone! So much so that even the cashier looked up to see what’s going on.
If speaking to customers is such an inconvenience, perhaps a customer-facing role isn’t the right fit. We are paying for these items, not asking for freebies, and no one should be treated with such hostility.
This place gets negative star for service. The only reason I’m adding an extra star is because the cashier (red rimmed glasses) was kind enough to apologize on behalf of her colleague. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Quite simple and expensive. 1 chiffon lemon cake S$ 11 and 1 half filled cup americano S$ 6.50. Plastic packaging for the cake. No option of eco-friendly packing for dine-in.

our friend decided to get us some goodies from chalk farm! we had the chocolate olive oil cake, pistachio lemon cake, kueh salat and earl grey chiffon cake. the chocolate olive oil cake was our favourite! it was not too jelat / dense. it was also moist with a strong but not overwhelming chocolate flavour. the swirls on top were just beautiful! the pistachio lemon cake was good too! the lemon cream had a strong taste of fresh lemon. the cake was fluffy and moist too. however, the pistachio taste was not very strong as it only came from the pistachios on the outside. the kueh salat was very interesting as it had a mild yet refreshing pandan flavour, and the texture was somehow smooth too. as for the earl grey chiffon cake, it was light with a subtle early grey taste. overall, the cakes are nice but nothing too special. we would definitely come back to try some more when the prices are not so high!
