Avoid This Laundry Service !!!!! Poor Experience with Silk Saree and traditional dress Dry Cleaning
I came across this laundry service with some good reviews, so I thought I'd give them a try for my wedding silk saree and traditional dress. Unfortunately, they returned my saree with significant shrinkage all over, despite my clear note to handle it with care. It's disappointing that they didn't acknowledge their limitations in handling special silk saree and instead ruined it.
The after-sales customer service promised to call me, but I had to chase them for a response. Their reply was unhelpful, asking for a clearer photo or video to verify the shrinkage issue, despite my providing clear images.
I'd strongly advise against using this laundry service. Many others have shared similar experiences of damaged items. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for reliable dry cleaning services. Please avoid this laundry service !!! Cuz they will not take responsible and give any solution when ruin ur things, read other review also below.

Despite my previous review and multiple follow-ups, this business has refused to take full responsibility for damaging my new pants. They keep hiding behind their terms and conditions (T&C) to avoid accountability, which is extremely disappointing. While I understand policies exist, it’s clear they should have checked whether my garment could withstand the cleaning process or informed me of the risks. Instead, they’ve offered a small credit and a refund of the cleaning fee, which does nothing to address the damage they caused. Repeated requests to speak with management have been ignored, with only supervisors responding. If they continue to deflect, I will escalate this issue further and share my experience to warn others. I strongly advise against using their services until they can demonstrate real accountability

I decided to try Big Mama because the reviews were pretty good, so I gave it a shot. Initially, I was very satisfied with the service—booking and delivery were seamless, and everything seemed great until I received my laundry back. Unfortunately, my newly bought shorts were damaged, and all the buttons were terribly scratched. When I brought this up with the cleaners, they refused to offer any compensation, citing their terms and conditions to absolve themselves of responsibility. It's disappointing that despite an otherwise positive experience, their handling of this issue was so dismissive and shows a lack of accountability and attention to detail. I expected better care and customer service.

I was really disappointed with the customer service provided by Big Mama for curtains dry wash. They sent an email that "advised" me to pay up by 6 pm the day before ( I found this quite odd as other dry clean shops that I have used do not demand the same) for them to confirm my schedule but failed to show up on the next day. And shockingly they ALSO failed to turn up on the agreed timing on the next scheduled day and came by 4 hours later. My advice for Big Mama : Do not run a business if you do not know how to put your customer's interest first. Serve with a big heart.

Ive been holding myself back to write this bad review to see if the company could take full responsibility to the damaged item but since no full responsibility taken to it then here you go.
Sent 2 items for laundry in its good condition.
When received, one of the items is inreally bad shapes : small tears here and there and the tencel fabric was ruined which i suspect because they didnt follow the wash label printed on the item (washed in hot water, etc).
After weeks of discussion with the customer service, they kept saying they are unsure why its happening which me as customer dont really care as its your internal issue which was causing this. What me as customer cares and appreciates is how are you going to handle, resolve and TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY to the damaged item.
#1st issue : They only offer to resew the torn parts of the fabric AND ASK ME TO DROP IT OFF TO THEIR ADDRESS.
Its your internal team creating this whole saga and why cant you just send courier to get and fix it?
So unprofessional to the halfway solution. Its your full responsibility to solve this issue as it was done by your team.
#2nd issue : Then they just ignored the ruined fabric issue (hairball, pilling, fuzzy hair) whatever you called it and apologized for the damaged without able to do anything to it.
I really regret using your laundry service, and wont b back at all. Giving 2 stars as the other item has no issue.
Before i used your service ive inquired about these what if theres issues to my items after laundry which you replied it will be handled properly i just need to raise it to you but its all fake promise and just formality.

Rude irresponsible seamstress at Taka outlet! STAY AWAY
I left a dress (Saloni) there on December 5 for taking in of the hemline together with another sample dress as a comparison of how short I wanted the length of the dress to be taken in. I was told the seamstress was on leave and hence the dress would only be ready the week of Dec 16 at the earliest. I went in today (Dec 17) to check whether the dress was ready for collection and it was not. It was pushed away in a corner and in front of me the dress was taken out all crumpled and then the seamstress had a look and after assessing that only a short length was to be taken it, told me the charge was $40.
I told her to do a good job since the dress was made of silk and her reply was that it depended on her mood, if it was before lunch when she is hungry, then perhaps she would not be able to guarantee her work i.e. there is a chance it may turn out not as good. In reply to my question why the charge was so high she said "like you said, your dress is silk." She then said you should have called before coming down to the outlet when I said this was a wasted trip as the dress was not ready after nearly 2 weeks.
She had a bad attitude and it is extremely rude of the seamstress to speak of her work being dependent on her mood to a customer who is being charged $40 for a simple taking in of the hemline. Is this an arbitrary number she plucked from the air depending on the seamstress MOOD? This is in a good area of Orchard Road and a service staff should be more discerning in her tone and words instead of spoiling the image of the store.
Will NOT be returning to BigMama Taka outlet anytime soon! I had previously on a number of occasions sent my clothes for dry cleaning here but not anymore.

Found Big Mama online and really need to give them a big shout out. Reached out to them to help clean a pair of plimsole and they did a marvellous job.
The communication was constant and always on time. From the beginning they replied and filled me with all the details on the price, timeline for cleaning and collection and delivery.
After settling all the details, the staff who came to collect was responsible and called before coming over to collect the shoes. Told him I was at work and left my shoes at my door. He collected, took pictures, send it to me and called me to let me know. After which they contacted me to make payment for the cleaning and when it will be delivered.
All in all the service was top notch and wonderful. Highly recommended for anybody who need their service!!!

I dug out an old gown for my daughter's graduation dinner. We rushed it to Big Mama at Takashimaya on a Saturday morning. They could do an express 3 day service. I received an sms when it was ready for collection. When we collected it, the dress material was shiny. It looked like new! The dress is 23 years old!
